has anyone had any luck with barclays ? x

Not yet. I phoned them the other day and the guy I got was a bit clueless. I had to tell him that Barclays were NOT appealing against the court decision. He explained it would take some time and that was about it. My case is already with the FOS but they are snowed under so I thought I would ring them myself.

Thanks Martin i owe you a pint,

I was miss-sold PPI along with my mortgage about 4 years ago by Alliance Leicester (now Santandare) To be perfectly honest i didnt even know i had it untill i decided to check my finances 3 weeks ago. I noticed that £45 was coming out of my account along with my mortgage repayments. I looked back in my file and discovered that it was insurance against me falling ill and failing to repay my mortgage. Now by shear co-incidence i was watching sky news and during one of the many frequent adverts there was one about miss-selling insurance. Sounding familiar i decided to look for advice on this website, i followed all the steps, used the template letter, filled out the financial ombudsman questinaire and sent it to Santandare. Fully expecting a fight on my hands i began to plan my next move when mych to my surprise and delight i recieved a letter from them (2 weeks later) accepting full responsability and asking for my account details so they could refund me the grand sum of £1978!
    RESULT!!!!!! THIS WEBSITE IS BRILLIANT!!!!!

    The final score

    JOE BLOGS....1 SANTANDARE.....0
    Excellent  Well done:money:

    Hi there

Good luck on all your reclaims.

Yes I eventually had mine resolved a few years ago via Nemo, although it did go as far as the FOS, it should be easier now though since the JR issues.

However, I had 2 loans with them, but with the first one a broker arranged that one for us, so we had to pursue the broker, despite having Nemo's paperwork you always pursue the ones who set up your account. On the loan advance that was dealt with directly with Nemo, as obviously they would have set that one up.;)

i looked on the paperwork and said there was a broker fee of £200 so does that mean we should pursue them im sure it was Central Capital,i may be wrong though

Hiya, just left you a post on the other thread.:D

Did you say you had 2 loans with Nemo as well?

Whoever set up your first loan, say a broker, you pursue them, it does not matter if its Nemo's loan agreement/documentation, and if you had a loan advance, then you pursue Nemo.

Like myself, I had 2 loans with them, but could only pursue them on the loan advance as they were responsible for setting up that one, and dealt with the first loan via broker.

If Central Capital sold you the loan, then yes you pursue them.
    Good luck on your reclaiming.;)

Hi just to let you know I have had two letters this morning one from citifinancial about a loan I paid off in 20005 with PPi and another from Marbles both saying sorry about the complaint etc they want to resolve as quickly as possible. only sent my template letters off last week that was quick.
Does this mean that I will get some good news, hope so.
I have had 3 letters back sent off 7 in total.
I sent one to JD Williams, I had all my old paper work and saw that I used to pay £25 a month PPi , has any one had any success with these?
Thanks for all your info on the site, really been helpfull:)

Hi I'm still can't work out how to start a thread/query so I'm putting my question here. We have had a Halifax one card for many yrs now. We pay insurance on it. Hubby thinks it was sold as being a fraud protection thing but now looks like it was ppi which prob wouldnt have paid out as he would qualify for big redundancy payout and if sick he gets full pay for 6mths and half pay for the next 6mths. We asked Halifax for details last wk but they have sent terms n conditions for the credit card and not original forms. On one copy the terms and conditions of the ins are on it but no info as to when/how we got cards etc. What do we do next? Any advice wud be great. We just cancelled the cover saving approx 30 quid a month.
