    Hi everyone,

I wrote to Lloyds 8 weeks ago today with 2 complaints re miss selling of ppi on a loan and a credit card. a week later i recieved two letters confirming they had recieved my complaints and were looking into them (standard reply). Then last Wednesday i recieved a letter saying that the complaint about my loan was getting upheld and i had to sign and return a document confirming i was happy for them to calculate how much i was owed in the way they explained.

I am over the moon that it was dealt with in the 8 week time scale and went in my favour! i was wondering if anyone knew what sort of timescale i was looking at recieving the money back?

Massive thanks to the website for all the info you could need regarding making a complaint and the template letters were excellent! What an awesome website!! :money:

I haven't as yet heard anything re my credit card complaint, maybe my loan one was a fluke that it got dealt with so quick.

    Fantastic, that is wonderful! Congratulations!

As soon as you sign and send the acceptance, I would give them 28 days, although it may be before that, good one!:T

I too had a result today ! Missold PPI, I owe about £4000 and a collection company were starting to harrass me for the balance, i told them i was in dispute with the credit card co over ppi but they were not interested so i had to tell them to go away (or words to the effect ! ) and that once i knew exactly what i owed, I'd be in touch.
Well i phoned the CC Co and told them i thought the PPI was missold, 2 letters later apologiseing for the delay in replying a letter came today saying my claim was upheld £3000+ and £1500+ interest charged, so just over £5000 back, but they deducted about £2000 as i made a claim 3yrs ago, so only owe around £1000 which i hope to pay off over a year or so.
Now to take on Santander over excessive O/D charges !

Thanks to everyone for the magnificent help and advice

I received a letter last week saying i may be entitled to make a claim from halifax.

So i rang them this afternoon, and after 5 minutes they told me i am entitled to claiming all the money i have paid over the last 4 years and they will be writing to me and sending a cheque.

    Does this seem too easy!?

    Hi there

With this ruling of the FSA, the banks should be looking through policies where it may be possibly mis sold, so maybe this is to do with this matter.
So looks like they are moving forward then (I take it, it was Halifax you heard from)?, cool.
    Good luck on your reclaiming.

I'm not sure if anyone can help me with this or has had similar experience, i trawled through about 15-20 pages but then saw there was 600 odd pages!

I have had a Natwest Mastercard which i signed up for in 2001, which at the time meant i was a student without any real job. i had a temporary job at pizza hut with about 10hours a week, but it varied.

When signing up to it i don't think i would have wanted PPI because it has always been set to clear the balance in full at the end of each month regardless. I've never made minimum payments etc.

Throughout the 10 years i've had small periods of unemployment but never made a claim as i thought i had 'card protection' which is what it is labelled as on my statement each month. As each month the card is cleared i never had anything to claim for.

Turns out when i got my new card this month i needed to call to confirm receipt and they told me did i want card protection which i thought i had. They explained it was PPI and immediately referred me to the complaints line!

I have a letter from them saying they will need 4 weeks to review and possibly another 4 but will let me know if they do. I also got the T&C's but i don't think they are the ones from 2001, i thinkt hey are the current ones. I don't recall ever having the original ones it just 'came with the card'.

Because i had cleared the card each month in full the PPI is only ever £5 but i guess over the course of 10years it might be something better than a kick in the teeth.

I haven't seen many posts on reclaiming C/C ppi, mostly only loans or people who had a high running balance on a C/C. Anyone else had any success with RBS(Natwest)? for smaller claims like this?
