after hearing today somebody getting offer letter from mbna emailed ceo to ask if there was update on my complaint been with them since 20th september2010 and on hold since.told him i didn't know how his company was dealing with ppi complaints since people were getting offer letters with complaints that had just been put into them told him it was a shambles!
girl emailed me from him saying letter posted today with decission and she would try and get case officer to email content of letter which he did 5 minutes later

Result upheld my complaint all premiums back plus interest at 8% total £422.18 not bad as it was a credit card for small amount about time MBNA got their backside in gear hope rest follow shortly

Friday must be my lucky day last friday got £5899.27 from rbs!!
thats me won 4 complaints totaling £8483.71 cash in my pocket total off loans still running £7769.72
4 down just 9 to go 2 with adjudicator one with ombusman

don't give up keep phoning and pestering these companies till you get a result and off to fos if result is a no.

    Hiya, thanks for posting back.

Well we shall soon see now the Judicial Review is all over, the post above proved to be successful and hopefully there will be more results like this one coming in, because its only now the banks seem to be starting the ones that was held back due to the JR again.

So time will tell just now, shall keep an eye on the posts.;)
Personally in my opinion I don't think there will be as many knockbacks anymore, well I certainly hope not anyway.

    Hello,
This is my first post , but I would like to say thatnks to everyone for the advice given on this site.
I've sent off a few PPI reclaiming forms and had the standard replies back.
I had a letter from Capital One stating that I purchased PPI during a phone conversation in August 2005 , this was after the card was activated. They said it was explained to me and have sent a copy of guidlines for their employees selling PPI. I cannot recall agreeing to this and at the time I was unemployed so I would not have needed it.
I now want to refer the compalint to the Ombudsman , has anyone else done this with Capital One ? And , do I need to inform them of my intentions ?
Any feedback would be really helpfull.
    Many thanks

    Hello there

I would write back and ask them to supply you with the evidence of the phone calls made during the purchase of the loan, see what they have to say then.
Besides if you were unemployed they should have known this and not sell it to you in the first place, personally I would write back and ask them to reconsider and as stated ask for the copy of the calls, the policy was worthless to you, good luck.
