PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi all!
After I recieved my cheque from Capital One back in February for £1583 I am still waiting for MBNA to give me an answer.
They seem to be stalling after I worked out they owe me £2700 ish.
The last letter they sent me before the court ruling said that they were gathering more info and more time was needed.
Are they right to delay on this as the 8 weeks were up about a month ago I should I go to the FO?
Next question is about Barclaycard. For the last 6 years I have been paying a Payment Break Plan. Is this PPI or something else?
I did ask them and they did confirm that is was some sort of insurance but the lady wasnt too sure!
I have now been sent the last 6 years statements and am just about to go through them but didnt want to waste my time if I couldnt ask for all these back.
Thanks again:T
Well done on winning the first one back. Good luck with the other one.:T:TFootiemad:footie: 2013 - SPC no.1147...Keeep potting!!

September last year I managed to claim back just £750 back from Welcome Finance and then got a letter from them saying that they were looking into the other loans that I have had with them and I got credit into my bank account and letter from them in December to say that they put just over £3500 into my account.0

Hi All.
After contacting Capital One for a second time, they have written back advising that they won't be paying out and it's their final decision.
According to them, it's my fault that the paperwork they supposedly send me got lost in the post, and that is why I never had any details of my policy. Personally I think this is one of the worst excuses I have heard. Documentation as important as this should be sent recorded delivery surely?
They are also still refusing to give me the transcript of my supposed telephone conversation, when they sold me the PPI as it is over 6 years old. I sent them a letter requesting all documents and transcripts they hold of me, and my cheque for £10, and I've hardly received any information from them at all, they are claiming I need to send them a further cheque for telephone transcripts, and I need to detail the dates and times of the conversations I want so they can look them up!
I wasn't born yesterday, and I'm convinced this is a fob off from C.O, but just wanted some advice, and to see if anyone else have had problems such as these? I am writing to the FO to get them to take up my claim.
I didn't think this was going to be easy!!!:mad::mad:

Hello there
You could contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and ask for advice on this.
Every SAR data I have requested for has been sent by recorded delivery, and its not your fault your data have not arrived, you have paid for it as well.
Contact the ICO on this matter, they will probably be back in work this coming Tuesday after the bank holiday, good luck.
