I started paying Tesco £1 per month, after a year I am now just paying it off at £20 per month, they have stopped the interest charges.I have been working for the last 28 years without a day off sick,so why would I want PPI.

However, I am so sorry to hear the outcome of this. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

The help with claiming mis-sold PPI has come at the right time. My husband died a few months ago and I've had two ppi claims refused, one because he was too old when he died (the policy wouldn't pay out after the age of 65 and he was 66) and the second won't pay out (the claim here was for over £4,000) because he had a pre-existing condition (heart disease) when he took the policy out in 2009. I'm asking for the paperwork to be sent to me because I am certain neither the age restrictions nor the health issues were highlighted to him when he took the policies out.
Wish me luck!0 -

If it is a loan then your reasons for mis sell would be.
You were not told that the ppi was on your loan over the whole term and that you were only covered for 5 years but the ppi was still on the loan to term end with interest.
Look here for other reasons you may have been mis sold

If this is mortgage ppi, then dunstonh or Magpiecottage will give you advice on this.0 -

Yes of course as amerall says Dunstonh and/or magpiecottage would defo know best in regards of ppi, althought it would be best to add a new thread of your own within these reclaiming threads, subject is something like "Mortgage ppi help", they will surely be along and not miss this then.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there, this sounds like front loaded ppi, is this mortgage ppi or a secured loan ppi?.

I wrote to Santander about two loans I had and within 4 days I had an offer for each of the loans back. One for £1150 and the other for £1750. Both accepted and just treated myself to a nice holiday0

After recently finishing repaying a £20,000 loan with LLOYDS/TSB which also had PPI attached to it. I used the draft letters from MSE.com to complain about the mis-selling of the PPI to me as I was serving in the the Armed Forces for the duration of the loan and did not need the cover protection it was supposed to be for. Even after telling them I was a Serviceman the loan advisor still recommended I purchased the PPI. The first reply from Lloyds was to tell me as I knew about the PPI they would not pay up and sent me copies of the original signed loan paperwork. After the second letter I sent Lloyds they said they would investigate further, and then finally after about 5-6 weeks I received a cheque for just over £5000 for a full PPI refund plus interest.
I didnt need to use those middle men companies on TV who take half your money when you get it I did it all by myself with the help of Martins draft letters No.1 & No.2 and I never had to send letter No.3 as they coughed up.
So if you are a member of the Armed Forces with PPI go get your money back as you DO NOT need it.
Many thanks for the help and advice.
Kind regards.... J

I just have to write and say a BIG BIG thank you to Martin and his website for an amazing result in my PPI reclaim.:j
I took out a secured loan in 2006 with Nemo Personal Finance and was "bullyed" into taking out PPI despite my saying I would arrange my own. I even sent back the loan documents that had been printed with the PPI amounts saying I didnt want it only to be rung up and told I wouldnt get the loan without it. Finally I gave in as I needed the loan but have always had in the back of mind that it was wrong.
Then came all the hype out PPI mis-selling but I still rested on my laurels. Then I decided to take the plunge, set some time aside and just go for it......
After checking out your website and using the letter templates to write to them last December and then the Ombudsman with my water-tight case (I had copies of everything including my letter saying I didnt want it and their final loan agreement with "up-sell" written on it!!!) Nemo wrote to me in February and off their own back and not even with the intervention yet of the Ombudsman (a long back-log of cases to deal with) they upheld my complaint. It hadnt even been put on hold - result!!!
The result? A refund of £17,500 to my loan account and a cheque for £7000!!!!!!!:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
It is soooo easy to follow Martin's advice so I urge anyone with PPI sold to them to just put some time aside and get claiming. A few hours of putting your case together and filling out a form or two, the price of postage and you can get it all back - it works!!!
