The help with claiming mis-sold PPI has come at the right time. My husband died a few months ago and I've had two ppi claims refused, one because he was too old when he died (the policy wouldn't pay out after the age of 65 and he was 66) and the second won't pay out (the claim here was for over £4,000) because he had a pre-existing condition (heart disease) when he took the policy out in 2009. I'm asking for the paperwork to be sent to me because I am certain neither the age restrictions nor the health issues were highlighted to him when he took the policies out.

    Wish me luck!

Good luck to you sweetie. Dont give up no matter how long it takes. Sorry about your loss too.

I wrote to Santander about two loans I had and within 4 days I had an offer for each of the loans back. One for £1150 and the other for £1750. Both accepted and just treated myself to a nice holiday

Brilliant well done. Enjoy the holiday, well deserved.:T:T

it is secured loan yes sorry not mortgage i did speak to them today they are gonna look into it but wonder what to throw at them what do u mean front loaded?

Hi there, front loaded means the ppi is put on at the start of the loan, this stays on the loan over the term with interest.
The ppi only covers you for 5 years after that time you will no longer have ppi insurance, but it is still on your loan to end term with interest.
If it is a joint application, then only the first signed borrower is covered for the full benefits, the second borrower is only covered for death.

When you took the ppi you would not have been told the above information, as you would not have taken such a costly product would you, if the above had been explained to you?.
Put a claim in, as this is the most upheld ppi and you have a very good chance of winning.

Loan - Barclays - PPI- WON!!!
I went through the parlarva of downloading the letter template, put in all the relevant bits to my case. Called Barclays up to get their address to post it to them and they took the case on over the phone. Within less than 8 weeks, I got a letter and a cheque for over £400. (the loan was £2K).
    Resounding success!!
