Loan - Barclays - PPI- WON!!!
I went through the parlarva of downloading the letter template, put in all the relevant bits to my case. Called Barclays up to get their address to post it to them and they took the case on over the phone. Within less than 8 weeks, I got a letter and a cheque for over £400. (the loan was £2K).

Hi all!
After I recieved my cheque from Capital One back in February for £1583 I am still waiting for MBNA to give me an answer.
They seem to be stalling after I worked out they owe me £2700 ish.
The last letter they sent me before the court ruling said that they were gathering more info and more time was needed.
Are they right to delay on this as the 8 weeks were up about a month ago I should I go to the FO?
Next question is about Barclaycard. For the last 6 years I have been paying a Payment Break Plan. Is this PPI or something else?
I did ask them and they did confirm that is was some sort of insurance but the lady wasnt too sure!
I have now been sent the last 6 years statements and am just about to go through them but didnt want to waste my time if I couldnt ask for all these back.
Thanks again:T0 -

Hi there
Well done on your success.
Even though the BBA failed the Judicial Review, they may yet appeal, they are expected to decide by 10th May 2011, so 11 days from tomorrow, maybe we will get to know something.
However, the FSA still expects them to continue with complaints, but it seems they are all holding up awaiting for an outcome of the decision on the appeal.
You should have the option of the FOS anyway, but unfortunately they are in the same position, even if they uphold in your favour, they still have to wait for an outcome of the above issues, but its up to you of course, you do what you feel is right for you.
I am not sure on the payment break plan, but I am surprised the bank does not know.
I would write to them and ask them to send you policy details/booklet of this policy which should confirm what your paying out for, and take it from there.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Cheers Di, your a star:beer:0
