Hello - thought I'd update and answer my own question!

I had an Egg card where the debt was sold on to Apex, I wrote to Egg but wasn't sure how it would work as they no longer have the debt... well just got home to a lovely letter and cheque!! Hoping its enough to clear my debts if I offer the right prices. Any idea on where I start for making an offer to clear the debt with Apex? Couldn't work out where best to look!

Thanks again, am still in shock from the first cheque which only needed one letter, and now a second... why didn't I do this a year ago!!

Any advice would be gratefully received!

    Hiya

    What a lovely surprise, Congratulations!

You could offer a figure, but I would maybe post about this on the debtfreewannabe thread as below and ask on there of your next step, many have been through the same thing, good luck.

Thanks for advertising your claims company Tom, but I'm afraid you have been reported.

25% + VAT, isn't that good anyway, there are cheaper companies out there who do a far better job. I'm not going to mention names, but they're out there. Either that or do it yourself for free.
Di, i and others on this site do not charge a % :p and we do a damn sight better job than ANY claims co :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi all

I have had a PPI reclaiming success within the last year- A company called Redress Claims did this for me (But, to be honest, if there's anything else to be had, I'll be going solo to do this). I had my PPI refunded with 8% interest. Two cheques, a total of approximately £3600.

    Nice.:j
    :j:j Well done

The difference in the various banks attitudes stuns me

You have the likes of A+L, Egg and Abbey paying out pretty promptly (in some cases inside a few weeks??!!!!) yet others just using the JR as an excuse for a cop out

Ah well, roll on the Judgment.............

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

    Very true.

My PPI reclaim started on 22nd of SEPTEMBER with Black Horse.

Was only repaid a couple of weeks ago.

Still, right result in the end.

How did you get them to pay out? I just got a letter after 8 weeks saying the complaint was on hold pending J/R outcome. As my complaint is with regard to them telling me I had to take the cover it shouldn't even be covered by the J/R. I have sent a letter back to them stating this and giving them 2 weeks to reconsider their putting the case on hold.
