    Quality. I had a similar situation but my complaint has had to go all the way to the ombudsman after their adjudicator agreed with HSBC :( Hopefully I'll be celebrating as well soon.

    Fingers crossed for you.;)

    Just to say a massive thank you for your guide/templates for reclaiming PPI. After sending just one letter of complaint to Northern Rock re PPI on a loan I had with them I have just recieved a letter saying they uphold the complaint and my PPI and interest charges are being refunded in full just under £7,000!!! I can't believe it ,I was prepeared for a battle and can't believe how easy it was! Thank you for bringing some justice back in the world Martin!:T

    Fantastic. Congratulations.:j:beer::T:T

  • Wrote off to Natwest regarding a missold PPI policy that was attempted to be claimed on but was told that it was invalid for pre existing medical conditions.

    Wrote off early this year and RBS replied stating they were looking into it.

    Got a letter today offering me the full amount in settlement stating that any evidence the bank had was unable to be found!! Of course this money will be paid into my current account (i've got an overdraft on it, hopefully they wont remove it and claw their money back!)

    :j That is brill :beer: at least if they reduce your overdraft, this will save you in the long run on the charges.

    Hi there, the court case is still ongoing i am afraid, and if the banks lose they will appeal, and so the wait goes on. I would put your complaint into the FOS with all paperwork you have recieved from the bank and leave it for FOS to deal with. If the court case comes to a conclusion, then you can let FOS know it has been dealt with. (The bank may be quicker than FOS :rotfl:)

    I had a PPI policy with Pinnacle to "cover" my mortgage with Northern Rock taken out in 1995 and redeemed in 2004.

    I had an enquiry from an agency offering to help reclaim, but after reading this forum decided to give it a go myself.

    I filled-in the form/template supplied here and handed it in to the local NR branch. A couple of weeks later I received a claim pack from NR asking me to complete the very same form! No problem - just put exactly the same details in again. After another few weeks I received an offer of over £1400! I calculated I had made 99 payments and the offer included 93 payments - apparently I got 6 months free!? Tried to check bank statements but they don't keep them that long so I accepted the offer and banked the cheque last week.

    Many thanks Money Saving Experts!!:beer:
