I have a question. I had my first loan in 2001 of £500. They added PPI without my knowledge but my question is, when I had my second loan in 2003 of £1000, I paid off the amount owing on my first loan with a little cash left for me. (Think there was about £260 left on first). So woud my PPI have been cancelled and put onto my next loan from scratch or would they have just carried it on. They also put PPI on my second lon without my knowledge aswell.

Hi hun, I expect they still added it then without your knowledge like they did with the first one, but each loan has a separate account number, so you would have had to have signed for a new loan.;)
They "may" have sort of reduced the ppi, but not certain, so I would therefore still make separate reclaims just in case.

    Hi Lisa

That is great you found your paperwork, as it will help.

You do not need to give them a figure, but its useful if you want someone to work them out on here for you, there are some clever folks on this site that will look at the figures for you, they may just require more details.

Give them all the reasons you have on how you believe you were mis sold.
And yes send them a "copy" not original of the letter you have, this should be very helpful to your reclaim.

    Good luck.;) X

Thanks di. The one I have the paper work for is the lastone which I new abot the PPI but I couldn use it due to being on "Income Support". It even says in the rejection letter the followng..

    Letter dated: 26.10.2008

To be eligible to claim unemployment benefits under your Loan Protection Insurance, you need to be available for work, activley seeking work and certified as unemployed by the dept for Work and Pensions.

    And the other letter

    Dated: 22.01.2009

Unfortunatley as you are unable to provide the requested three pieces of evidence to substantiate your claim we have no alternative but to lose your claim.

They asked me to send them each month three pieces of evidence for the 12 months to show I was activley seeking work. Laughable I no. If they had told me when I took the loan out about having to do this I never would have took it out. I could not go to work as I had to take my daughter out of nursery as the Inland Rev would no longer pay to have her going to nursery while I was out of work. At the time I was a single parent and had no one to look after her as I worked nights aswell. I tried to fight the discision but they didnt want to know. I'd say this is good enough reason xxxx what do you think :D

Right here goes, but I'm not sure if this paper work is the right one. It has the account number and the amount, and the PPI so will put the figure anyway and if some one can work it out for me that will be great.

All it says is the following:

    Opening balance £1000.00

Opening balance Loan Protection Insurance Loan Advance £281.36

Nope sorry definatley not the loan agreement its a letter from them from when I had got behind on my payments as I was then on Income Support and could not afford to pay them every month as they still wanted me to pay the same amount I was paying whilst I worked. It still has the account number on it so would'nt that be enough or shall I still go a-head and request all three anyway.

Hopefully Robbedofmymoney will be along tomorrow to check the calculations for you, he may ask for more details, such as for how long the loan is/was for etc and when etc.;)
