thanks di i just have a MBNA credit card to claim back on now which is a bit more complicated as it was taken out through A&L and the form was already ticked by the bank.
so MBNA say it A&L's issue and A&L say its MBNA issue very confusing

There's always the one awkward one, but keep at them, stand your ground, you will get there.;)

Hello there. I am new to MSE and i must say i wish i'd heard about you sooner.

A company claimed back my PPI on a loan i had with Lloyds. There was no problems and the money was credited into my account within 8 weeks, give or take. This is the gutting thing thou.... I got back over £5000 but due to the company taking 39% i lost a lot of it and ended up with £3500. (still an excellent amount of money i know!!)

After finding MSE last week i have spent all week trawling through all the posts and i feel i am now ready to tackle my credit cards. I am starting with Lloyds credit card, MBNA and also Santander (evans store card). I have 3 questionaires completed and just need some addresses if anyone can help??

I have the address for Lloyds TSB. Does any one have the address for MBNA and Santander please. Would be greatly appreciaited.

    Hi and welcome.

The address we have on the site for MBNA is
    MBNA Head Office:
    M B N A Europe Bank Ltd,
    Stansfield House,
    Chester Business Park,
    Chester,
    Cheshire,
    CH4 9QQ

With Santander use the address you have on the statement, they forward complaints onto Santander to what I know of.

I also think it would be wise to post by recorded/signed for delivery.

And well done on your success.

  • Credit Card IPP.
    Egg
    £2068.85
Refunded after 2nd attempt using Martin Lewis’s template
    Interest calculated at 8%

In 2002 my husband took out an Egg credit card and in 2007 we converted it to a loan (that we are still repaying).

When we converted it to the loan I cancelled the IPP because it was so expensive and having read the small print, we weren’t covered anyway as my husband was self-employed.

I thought nothing about it at the time, then when all the publicity appeared I sent a claim off on behalf of my husband sighting that no one had advised him or informed him that being self-employed made the policy worthless.

They refused, saying that the purchase box had been ticked on the application form on the website, which meant he had understood the terms and conditions.

3 weeks ago when Martin mentioned that time was running out for these types of claims and that companies had been rejecting claims as standard procedure and not to give in at the first hurdle, I downloaded the template on this site, got all the Egg paperwork out and sent it off.

Then we got a letter saying the claim was being' investigated' but I thought that was just delay tactics before we another rejection letter.

Then this morning, a cheque arrived :j I am stunned; we are still walking around on air!

Not only that, the letter states that “...if as a result of the outcome of the judicial review, an additional sum of money is due to you, we shall be in touch again and will make additional payment as necessary...”

Would be great if we get even more, but we are over the moon with this result, and we owe it all to Martin and his templates...thank you so much Martin from the bottom of our hearts! :money:
    abolish call centres now!
