:j:j Well done :beer:Offer from Capital One today - £1049.47 full PPI refund plus interest. Just gets better.
Letter from M&S Money saying on hold awaiting outcome of judicial review. Says that FSA rules on complaints handling go beyond rules and regulatory requirements that were in place when loan PPI was sold. Loan was for 5 years started in 1999. Loan was for £7802.46 and total paid was £12008.54 !!
Wow go you!!!!!!
Fantastc news. I had a loan some time ago now with them and wish I never did. I dont have any of the paper work about my credit agreements either so dont no how to get a hold of them now. I'm going back now 2000 ish. If I can get copies I will be claiming my PPI on it. Althought I have no idea if I even had it.... I had £200 on my card and I went so over on it I had a bill after 3 months saying I owe £895 on it. I remember the interest was 17.5% but at that time I was desperate. I had no food, no nothink so I spent it all in a few days. And I didnt even no to be honst what 17.5% even ment untill the first bill came in.
well done though....xx0 -
Bottom line is dont have a credit card unless you no exactly what your gettng into...I had a credit card with Capital One around 2000/1 and they gave me £200 just by me signing a little leaflet that I saw in a magazine. They never sent any paper work or anything. I spent it all in about 3 days on food, electric as I was in turmoil. The to my suprise I had not heard off them for a while (3mths) and then to my horror I had an invoice through saying I owed £895 for going over. After a long winded arguement my partner payed it off for me by weekly installments as I had then found out I was pregnant aswell. I have no paper work, no proof I have paid it off or anything. I am going to see if they have my account still on file (Im sure they will say they have not as they probably no why I want it). I cant even remember the year I had it in to be honest.....will keep you all posted0

I sent 2 complaints to Natwest at the end of Jan, The first was for a loan that took out in June 06 which had PPI missold but then I had another loan 4 montsh later which paid the original loan (again Natwest and missold PPI) Today received a "goodwill gesture" payment of £260 for the original loan...I am happy with this and am now hoping that they will do the same with the later loan which ran to term (3 years) fingers crossed.
Thanks MSE

If you dont mind me asking but how much was your loan for? just wondered as I had 3 loans with TSB Lloyds in 2001, 2003 then again in 2005. They put PPI on my first 2 loans even though I didnt ask for it and they never mentioned it, but on my last 1 I new I had insurance which didnt benefit me anyway. I have never used any of it either so I think that in itself will be good enough. I actually only found out last week that I had it after going into the bank to claim back some money I had over paid on paying my last loan....hahahahaha commical isnt it. xxx:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
The first loan was for £3600 and the second loan was for £5000.
I am hoping to hear something back on the £5k loan soon! If they have made a goodwill gesture on the first one surely they will do the same for the latter one, the circumstances were the same and it was sold by the same Natwest rep?? Fingers crossed!
Also had loan with Barclays for £5k in 2005 which has front loaded ppi, they have said "no" so I have sent that one to the FOS!

Wow I will probably get even less than that then on mine:(. I had £500 in 2001, £1000 in 2003 and £1000 in 2005 with Lloyds TSB.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:guess I will just have to wait and see. I was fully covered on mine to. Well thats wat the lady told me last week at my Lloyds TSB branch xxxxx good luck and keep going0 -
I had a letter last week stating my claim was on hold due to the ongoing court case.
However, I have written a letter back to them stating my displeasure with being put on hold and that I am giving them the opportunity to come to a suitable compromise before taking my case to the FOS.
In peoples experience and opinions:
1. Is this wise?
2. Is this likely to yield reward?
3. At one point should I absolutely give up trying to sort myself and turn to the FOS?
I am more than prepared to go to the FOS but have read cases on this forum where people have responded to the bank in writing at the point of going on hold to then recieve an offer from the said bank.
Any feedback / thoughts appreciated!0 -
Hi there
I think we are all hoping to hear of a decision by the end of March hopefully.
With mine I have left them sitting with the bank, to see what happens next month, then may think about complaining to the FOS otherwise.
You are entitled to go to to the FOS if your case is on hold, and many are in the same position. But its your choice of course.
Not sure if they will give an offer at this stage to be honest.
Either way good luck on your reclaiming. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I sent off the questionnaire to claim back PPI for Natwest credit card at beginning of December - decided to accepted their goodwill offer of £549.46! All thanks to this site :j0
