    Hi Sazzy1972

    CONGRATULATIONS!!

I too am hoping for a redund from Lloyds in relation to an LTSB credit card. Unfortunately I had to take my complaint to the FOS, who recently upheld my complaint. They have wrote to Lloyds asking them to confirm that they accept the result- we await their response!
With regard to the calcuations, how do they work out your refund?
    Once again congratulations!!

    Hi IRGWS
Thanks for the congrats very nice of you!!:)
Sorry to read that you have had to go through the FOS
LTSB did keep saying that if I was un-happy with the length of time it was taking them that I could go to the FOS, but to be honest with you I only wanted to consider getting them involved if it was not looking fruitfull & if I had not received that Ex-gratia letter when I did then the FOS was my next step.
Unfort I have no idea how they calculate the refund exactly, but if LTSB do accept they should refund you all the premiums you paid plus interest on the balance of your card & 8% interest set out by the FOS.
They have to put you back in the position you were in if you did not have the PPI.
I truly hope that you are successful and that LTSB accept they owe you the refund. Please let me know the outcome as my fingers are crossed for you :)
    GOOD LUCK!! :A

hi all, just wondered if anyone had had any recent correspondence from RBS? I sent my claim off in October and waited the 8 weeks to then be told everything was on hold because of the Judicial Review. I have held off going to the Ombudsman in a hope that the court case would be settled and my matter would be investigated quicker this way? I'm thinking maybe I should have gone to the Ombudsman? :-)
Hi there, you can put this in with fos now, then at least you will be in the queue!. Depending on the outcome of the judicial review, rbs may pay out sooner than the fos can deal with this.

Just a quick update on our claim. When I last posted a few weeks ago the FOS had found in our favour against Freedom Finance ie;Wilmslow Financial Services and we were waiting on our settlement offer. We have received this at long last and they have offered us just under £24,000 which we have accepted and we should have a cheque within the next week. It's been a long slog of almost two years from beginning to end but all the fantastic advice and pointers which we have received on this site has been wonderful. So to anyone who is feeling despondant or not sure whether to purue a claim - don't give up!!:j- it'll be worth it.

Hi there, mine is still sitting with the bank as well, via Lloyds and if no updates as such by Easter, I will then be making the complaint to the FOS.
    Good luck on yours.:)
Saying that mine have been there since before xmas.

Good one, I am trying to hold out with my last 2 with them for as long as poss. However, they do keep my updated that they are still dealing with my cases, so that is something.

The last 4 loan ppi reclaims and 2 credit card ppi, are all resolved and were paid out last year and earlier, they upheld on them all.:T
And so happy for you too.

Just to let you know, thanx to the forum and MSE I have had a letter and decided to settle with the Halifax on PPI relating to the following:

    1 Loan from 1995
    1 Loan from 1997
    1 Mortgage from 1995-1999
    1 Mortgage from 2000-2005

not sure of the amounts but the offer is all payments +8% simple (whatever that means)......will update on amounts once I get them :j

Once again many thanks all...keep up the good work :T

    Hi there and congratulations! :T

I have complaints going at the minute with Halifax, one for a loan PPI and the other for credit card PPI. They have put my complaints on hold pending the outcome of the Judicial Review. So I will sit it out a little longer. Did you have to take yours to the FOS?

Also did you have the account numbers for these loans or did you request them from Halifax? I had another loan with Halifax that I am going to try claiming PPI on. But I took the loan out in 2002 and can't find any paperwork with the account number on. I have wrote to them to request this, but makes me wonder if they will try saying they no longer have any records on it!!
