Hi All,
I just wanted to start by thanking Martin and every on else on this site for showing me what could be done.
I am dylexic and have problems with my spelling so I dont like writing letters so I did not think that I would be able to get any money back. But I rang egg and told them that I had been sold the PPI when I did not what it.
My brother (a financal adviser) had allways told me never too get PPI, but the guy on the phone had said, that if I did not get it, I would most likly not get the loan.
Any way I explaned to egg that I could not write in, and that under the disability discrimination act they should look into my clame any way. The lady was very helpfull.
Any way less then a week later, I got a letter saying that I had been credited £5,251.93 to my loan, and that my loan would now finish early.
This for me is a total result, and I am very very happy.
One thing though, I know that others have said, that this money should be given to you in your bank as a check!? Is this the case, cos if so thats how I would have liked it. As it would clear all my other debts, inc over draft and credit card, giving me a low APR loan, that I have never missed a payment for. If I could do it this way, I would be well on my way to being debt free. Any one got any advise on this.
Thanks
A very happy Dave0 -

Hi Dave
And good news that they have dealt with this.
Now I would get in touch with them by writing or ringing them and tell them how you would prefer this paid back to you
.
I'm sure you have a choice here hunni, and its not your fault they mis sold you this product by making you think you had to have this in order to be accepted for the loan.
So yes hun contact them and tell them this.;)
Any problem please post back.
Good luck and well done.;) .

Is so just click on "loans" above you have a choice of this thread or the reclaim/discussion thread, so if you want to try and reclaim on a mis sold product/loan/credit card or whatever is it, post in the reclaim/discussion thread.
Hope this has helped hun.;)

Hi folks
Just thought Id keeep you up to date on my ongoing saga with Loanmakers.
Finally in June the case was assigned to an adjudacator with the FOS, today a very nice lady a the FOS phoned me at work to tell me that they had UPHELD my complaint with Loanmakers:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T.
BUT Loanmakers had comback with a raft of reasons why they dispute the verdict:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:.
However she said that it was being passed on to get a final decision and she was very confident of them agreeing with her decision, apparently Loanmakers are renowned for this:T:T:T.
Fingers x I should hear good news, Its been going on since December whats another couple of months.0 -

Thanks for your advice Martin.I took out a loan with Frizell which is owned by LVE around 1997 for £5000, when there was a balance of around £1000 I took out another loan for £2000 to clear this and my overdraft. About a month ago I came across an old bank statement with a reference No on,I wrote to them with only this and my name and address, anyway the outcome is they offered me over £2600 which I accepted,i've now had the cheque and its been cleared so it is worth persisting but I guess some companies are more helpfull than others. Thanks again Martin and good luck to everyone else in the process of claiming as well.0
