PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi all
Its been a while since I posted, moved house so busy times!
My husband is waiting for the FOS to move his complaint against Lloyds to the ombudsman as they disagreed he was mis-sold (really don't see how) and I am guessing Lloyds are just stalling things.
We first complained to Lloyds in May last year and it has been with FOS since last July. We are getting sick of the whole thing now
We keep asking for updates and even to be prioritised as we met some of the critieria but got rejected for that too.
Does anyone know how much longer we could be waiting?
Things have been tough I hope it gets better!
Thanks Naomi0 -

Hi Naomi
Sorry to hear your still waiting.
Lloyds is mainly one of those banks that reject the adjudicators decision, but I'm sure once sorted by the ombudsman it will be fine.
Did they also mention about the extra redress for distress and inconvenience?
Normally your awarded the extra if it goes as far as the ombudsman.
I know its a right pain waiting and waiting, when was the last time you heard from the FOS?
If its been a while since hearing an update, contact them again and maybe mention about the hardship again too.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
Just wanted to let you know that I have just received a letter from the Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society informing me that my PPI re-claim application has been successful. This is in relation to a £10,000 personal loan that I took out in 2005 over a 4 year term.
It has taken a few weeks but Liverpool Victoria have written to me with an offer of redress which I have accepted for the amount of £1,400 which includes 8% compensation for the loss of use for the amount paid.
I am really pleased with the result and if it wasn't for websites such as 'MoneySavingExpert.com' I would probably not have known that I could reclaim this and also how to approach the 'Banks' to ask them for my money back! :T :j0 -

Feeling good, second success against the banks!
Was reclaiming PPI on a secured loan from Imagine Finance, just short of £8k back (returned monies, interest & comp). Took quite a while as Imagine tried every stalling trick in the book. ( We've been at it since Jan 2010). Thought they might try to postpone settlement pending the pending banks latest collective ruse against PPI claims, but no cheque is on its way as we speak.
Xmas is gonna be a wee bit better now.

Hi there
If you were mis sold the ppi, all you do is pursue the ones who set this up for you, to their head office, you can do this by completing the questionnaire as shown on link below......

Keep copies of all you send and receive in case you need to refer to these at some point, they normally have 8 weeks to give a decision, and they should keep you informed.
