I started my claim with F.P. on 11/10/10. Since then I have recieved two letters from F.P. one saying sorry to hear I wasn't happy with my PPI and they would investigate and get back to me by 10/11/10. A second letter turned up on the 11/11/10 saying they need to fully complete their investigation and will contact me by the 8/12/10.
What I want to know is this normal, or just a delaying tactic, plus is there anyway to speed up my claim.:(
    Regards

This is normal, you should have a win here, fingers crossed. Give them the time they have asked for.You cannot speed this up so just hang on.By the way what were your reasons for mis sell?.

They told me I wouldn't get the loan without it, plus already have sickness cover at work and had a personal policy for redundacy cover at the time.
  • Hi there thanks very much for the advice you gave me in my last post . Just an update I had a letter on the 1st of november exactly 8 weeks since i sent my letter saying they were looking in to my complaint and needed another 8 weeks i decided not to go to FOS at this point because of their backlogs, then i recieved another letter on the 11th november saying they would issue a response by the 9th december so im keeping my fingers crossed!
Is this a good sign that they are dealing with my complaint ?

    Hiya

Sorry to hear this, and hope your not waiting too long now.
Many of us have gone as far as the ombudsman, but this can vary, some within a month or 2 others could be longer, but if your in hardship let them know, they may consider with the reasons you have to get this pushed on quicker for you.

Fingers crossed and hope you hear sooner rather than later, good luck.;)

  • Hi di3004 and thanks so much for the reply, really thought i might be waiting months but you never know and maybe it would be worth it to see if they would make my case a priorty.do you know if i write to them regarding this should i send the letter to th adjudicator that was handling the case or just address it to the f.o.s?

Hiya and yes write to the adjudicator who was dealing with your case, they will still be working alongside the ombudsman as well.
Good luck with this and your welcome.;)

  • Hi all

Its been a while since I posted, moved house so busy times!

My husband is waiting for the FOS to move his complaint against Lloyds to the ombudsman as they disagreed he was mis-sold (really don't see how) and I am guessing Lloyds are just stalling things.

We first complained to Lloyds in May last year and it has been with FOS since last July. We are getting sick of the whole thing now :(
We keep asking for updates and even to be prioritised as we met some of the critieria but got rejected for that too.

Does anyone know how much longer we could be waiting?

Things have been tough I hope it gets better!

    Thanks Naomi
