  • Hi, I currently have a misselling claim with LTSB which was lodged on 28th September. Although I had been told that they had sent out Acceptance Slips on 8th October I am now told that with effect from 8th October 10 they are putting on hold all claims pending the judicial review. I see you got your money back within 24 days which coincides with my dates.....any tips??

hi everyone,i looked at this ppi reclaiming on this site and said to myself lets have a go ive nothing to lose, ive got a claim with egg for ppi which was added to a credit card a few years back & it was not added by myself i phoned them up a couple of weeks ago and asked why this was added ? they gave me the date when i first recieved my card and then told me the ppi was added a week later ???? not by me i said and accused them of fraud, ive not heard anything back from them no phone call, letter or anything but the said its being investigated.my second one is hsbc bank which i took a loan with 5 years ago and had ppi included in with the loan,i went into there branch to sign for the loan and no information about ppi was explained properly, ive sent the first letter from this site a couple of weeks ago and ive spoke to the bank saying i want this ppi stopped imediately but ive noticed they have taken the same amount from my account again this month, they also said my claim is being investigated, whats my chances folks ?? and how long should i wait to contact both again ?
Dont stop your ppi on your loan, wait to see if you win mis sell. If you cancel now, you may have to do a new loan without ppi and that may increase your term and apr.If you win mis sell then your loan is put back to the position it was in without ppi, and you will have the ppi amount taken off your loan and your monthly repayment falls by the ppi monthly amount and ppi paid to date back to you.

Hello, many thanks for your reply!

Yes the monthly loan amount goes down from £192.35 to £164.58, so that's an added bonus. I'm just so desperate to get it paid off and be completely free from it! Ah well, the end is in sight and as it has been in hubby's name, and the monthly payments coming out of his wages... I guess I should leave it to him to decide!

Just so pleased that this is over and that we got such a perfect result!

Many thanks to Martin for this wonderful site, and especially to you di3004 - your replies on these forums are always so helpful and the support and encouragement you give to others is second to none!

I couldn't have done this without moneysavingexpert.com and am so so glad this has all worked out!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Congrats and well done :j:j:j:jIn my opinion, i would use the payout to live on and continue to pay the loan back as per agreement. You could ask nr for a settlement figure, as you may get a rebate on this and not owe as much as think, and that may help hubby make up his mind x.

  • Advice please

I have received a PPI Complaint Customer Questionnaire from barclaycard asking for additional information. They say if they do not receive the questionnaire back in the next seven days they will close the case{this will be within the eight week time frame} they want to know what information I was told during the sale and whether I was informed of the 30 day cancellation rights. This policy was sold to me over the phone in the early to mid nineties.

    Thanks

    Hi there

Is you signed and accepted, after they already agreed with this, I am aware they should still be paying out.
I would contact the supervisor to make sure on this, it seems customers are being told all sorts, so do give them a call.

Scott Copsey (Supervisor) Tel No: 08453005599

And only those of brand new complaints from that stated date would be affected.

Good luck please keep us posted, cheers.;)

All you have to put is what you can remember, if you are not sure, then put that.

    Hi there

Give them as many details as you possibly can or remember, did you send them a letter to make complaint or a reclaiming questionnaire?
Either one, write (Please refer to my complaint letter questionnaire), if your unable to remember all details, just make them aware of this, but make your main points of how you were mis sold clear to what you can remember.;)

    Good luck.
