thats right fp want nothing to do with it, click for freedom are now click financial

    Hi

Funny you should say that, I had a loan with Click Finance and that actual company dissolved about 2006, yet Click did continue with other loan companies and still start them with "Click".

If it was Freedom who arranged it though it would be them you pursue, but what you could do to get this confirmed is contact the FOS and they will tell you on your best direction with this, its possible a claim with the FSCS.;)

Glad you said this, write another letter to fp and tell them they were your first point of contact and they in effect sold you this ppi. You were not told this ppi was put on the beginning of the loan and that you would pay this back over the loan term with interest, and you were not given a choice to take cover elsewhere. Read this

And refer to this case in your letter, also that commission was paid for this ppi that gave the sales person the incentive to sell this product. Tell them if they do not respond with a favourable reply within 8 weeks you will pass this to the financial ombudsman.

HFC are not accepting liability for the PPI, but goodwill gesture agreed of premiums paid (from 2003 to 2006) of £1246, Balancing premium refund for early settlement £587 and interest @8%, grand total £2604.

Really big thank you to all who helped and contributed, really appreciated.
Would never have done it without Martin and all on here.

To any one thinking thinking this a major hassle, this has taken 2 letters, filled in 1 questionaire, and my SAR request has not yet been processed.

Dont give up, keep the pressure on, and good luck to all.

Bottle of wine tonight me thinks!!

hi well done you i'm chasing hfc as well just wondered how long it's taken for your result after them sending you your questionair? thanx
  • hi k77kms
its been just 8 weeks from start to letter yesterday. After 4 weeks they sent a request for another 28 days and the offer was on or about the 28 days.
    wish you luck with yours
  • Hi all,

Is anyone else still waiting for a refund from Egg?

They received my acceptance letter on 12th Oct, even though i have proof it was signed for on the 11th. They have told me via email and by phone that it will be in my account by the 26th which is tomorrow (14 days) - but check my account today and it is still not there.

So hopefully it should be there by tomorrow - fingers crossed....
