Hi Guys
Its been a while since I popped in to say hi!! Just to let you know I have (3 weeks ago) received a letter from the FOS in my favour v MBNA for ppi on my credit card dating back to 2001!! I know I had paid 2000 pounds in PPI from mid 2006 so hopefully I will get back a nice sum of money. I have phoned MBNA to find out when I will get this money and just keep getting the same phone monkey everytime who says that the department I need to speak to have no phones !!!! Has anyone got any information that may help me contact someone to push this through ? Any information would be great0 -
Egg Success!!
I was called a few weeks ago by a company that claims PPI back and after checking the boards, I decided to try it myself on Egg. I have now had an offer in writing for £1100 on the Egg credit card, which is all the PPI plus 8% interest, and a verbal offer of £3100 on my loan (to be put in writing to me tomorrow), which will clear it in full. This will free up about £250 per month for us which is a lifesaver.
Thanks all for your help and will keep you informed on the others.0 -
I recently complained to Welcome finance about the fact that i was told i had to have the PPI on my loan or i wouldn't be able to have it. I am amazed that within seven weeks i have had a letter offering me £1358.75 compensation, i didn't have to argue or go to the ombudsman. What amazes me even more is that the PPI was £582 and the interest added because of it was £437 !!!!!!!! i was also surprised and pleased that they also considered a smaller amount from a smaller loan which i had before and included that without being asked to. considering how unhelpful they usually are i am amazed what a result :j:j:j0

Hi Munchbunch
The loan was taken out in November 2004 and was settled in February 2007. PPI was £4035 at commencement of the loan.0 -
HFC are not accepting liability for the PPI, but goodwill gesture agreed of premiums paid (from 2003 to 2006) of £1246, Balancing premium refund for early settlement £587 and interest @8%, grand total £2604.
Really big thank you to all who helped and contributed, really appreciated.
Would never have done it without Martin and all on here.
To any one thinking thinking this a major hassle, this has taken 2 letters, filled in 1 questionaire, and my SAR request has not yet been processed.
Dont give up, keep the pressure on, and good luck to all.
