Morning All just been told by the HFC that they will not up hold my claim for PPI as thier is insufficaint eveidents. Surely it should be down to them to prove it was not mis sold.

    Hiya

Keep at them, if this was not the final decision then write again and ask them to reconsider, tell them you don't believe your complaint have been investigated properly or taken into consideration with your reasons you have and your aware the FSA are punishing bank for this reason and for rejecting genuine complaints.

    Keep at them.
Sometimes its known they have overturned a final decision, so you could write and give them 14 days to get back with another decision, if you hear nothing then complaint to the financial ombudsman service (FOS). Good luck.;)

May I ask what year you taken out the loan with HFC, as these were fined for mis selling ppi as from Jan 2005.
    Cheers.

Yes my loan was taken out in December 2006 during a meeting in which i was told as i had a poor credit rating and the amount of the loan they would not give it to me unless i take the PPI. Also as it is tied in to the loan i cannot opt out of it.

You do have a good case here in my opinion.
    This was a pressurised sale.

They may have just overlooked it, and maybe you could tell them that too.

So what I would do (even if you have received the final decision), write what I stated in my above post, tell them to get back by 14 days, and if you hear nothing at all, move on to the FOS.

Fingers crossed they will overturn in your favour.
    Please keep us posted, cheers.

  • Just got refund of £3000!!!!

Took loan with Northern Rock in 2005. Was told PPI was compulsory in order to get the loan, didnt know until i read this site 2 months ago that it wasnt.

i followed your guide. All i did was fill out the questionnaire and send it to Northern Rock. Within 7 weeks they replied, upholding my complaint, refunding all ppi plus interest. RESULT!!! :j

Thank you soooo much, i only used this guide - no claims company, no ombudsman. Brilliant. :T
