  • Hi,

A quick message to say I applied for a refund of my PPI on a mis-sold policy with Virgin Cards, and got my result on Friday - they have credited £1590 to my card which I'm very happy with. I have an outstanding claim with HSBC so fingers crossed!

    Thanks!

    Well done!

My welcome finance has finally come into my bank account! After 15 weeks total waiting time (5 weeks due on mmy part) £1660 is VERY welcome in my bank (no pun intended - it's too early in the morning!) plus £800 loan fully paid.

    And now just £480 of debt to pay - I'm a debt-free-gonnabe!
    Debts remaining: £0/£16000
PPI reclaimed: Halifax £2300, Welcome Finance - £2400

  • I do not know what I am doing wrong here!!. A few months ago I had a phone call from OB and he told me they were upholding my claim for PPI and that I would hear again within three weeks and that would close the claim in my favour. Great thought I! No. Wrong. That was 5 months ago and I havent heard a thing since. It is with Lloyds - so that says alot. WHy do some people seem to get their claims done and dusted within a relatively short time and I have had to wait since 2007! I lost my overdraft claim even though like everyone else I did exactly what I was told to do but still they wouldnt pay out - it was only £450, but they wouldnt pay be back. That went eventually to the OB but was still refused.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong here and how can I get things to go in my favour (for a change) and have this battle finally resolved. I find it more and more frustrating when I read of you lucky peeps that have had a good result - and may I say good on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!WELL DONE.

  • I'm sorry to hear that, Mrs-stressed, have you tried getting in touch with them to see where they are up to? I must admit, I have read some bad reports on reclaiming from lloyds. I hope you get your money soon, you deserve it after being made to wait so long!

Good old lloyds :D here we go again :D give them a ring and chase this up, ring ob as well, there is no excuse for this but they still get away with this. Well done on your win :j and hope you see a resolve pretty soon.x
  • Hi Chris - thanks for cheer-me-up post! I am going through a company called Claims Financial (as I had had such a distastrous time with my overdraft claim I though I would have more clout with a firm that specialised in this sort of thing) and I have had about six different 'advisors' and all are just as bad as the other - in other words not doing much for a great deal of money. I have emailed them again this morning and no reply yet. From what I can gather my claim is now with Lloyds - after OBMs ruling, and probably in someones in-tray as we speak. I am at a total loss as to how I can resolve this. Not only do I need the money BIG TIME but I am sick and tired of being in suspension as it were. Every single claim I have been advised to make from overdraft to council tax reclaim and PPI I have had a complete and absolute nightmare with and not succeeded with any of them. Have I got 'stupid for trying' written all over me....LOL.

    Hi there

With Lloyds, sometimes we have to keep on at them, and some have even had final decisions overturned withiin good reason.
I know Lloyds are one of those banks, with the highest complaints and the FSA are punishing banks for rejecting genuine complaints and for not investigating them properly.

Have you tried writing or emailing him at all?

Hope this is resolved soon, good luck.;)

  • Thanks amersall - every message I get really helps! I am dead scared of ringing (cost??) as I know what they will say. When you say well done on your win - what win do you mean????? I havent had a win since - well cant remember. Got time for a list of failures!!!! I cant seem to achieve a good result no matter how hard I try and no matter what I do even if it is the same as everyone else. Must find an emoticon for someone with failure written all over their face. Are there any cartoonists who can do a face with 'stupid' or 'loser' out there..............LOL
