Thanks everyone for the help, good luck Evie. I spent some time this morning completing the FOS complaint form & submitted by email with the MBNA letter & my original claim form to MBNA. Interestingly MBNA say they are going to send me a summary of the PPI costs i've incurred so as soon as that arrives that can go to the FOS aswell.
    I'll keep everyone informed
    Thanks again
    Trev

That's great if they send you a summary of all the PPI that you have paid. It should help your case when you go to the FOS. They didn't offer to do that for me - just basically told me to get lost!!

    What were you reclaiming:loan
Who was the provider: Lloyds TSB
How much did you get back:approx £1480
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1st letter and template

Hi and a big thanks to all on the site. Stumbled across this only last weekend and thought i shall just give it a go. I sent the template and a covering letter to Lloyds on wednesday(recorded) and thought give it a few weeks and see what happens. anyway on saturday morning recived a letter from Lloyds saying that they are upholding my complaint and will refund all payed premiums in full plus 8% intrest.
I can't belive how quick and easy it was. so just have to return a letter and wait for the money:beer:

    Thanks again

  • Has any one had any dealings with this company?

My parents used them to reclaim PPI from an RBS loan with PPI. My mum has had no communication from them and has had to do most of the work herself all the company seem to have done is refer it to the Ombudsman, my mum has contacted the OB on several occasions phoned this company to be told one minute she has an adjudicator and the next she doesnt. She just received her PPI a week ago by going to the bank and noticing there was a large credit in her account this was the Friday and on the Wed received a letter dated 20 September (Monday) saying the money was going to be paid to her. No breakdown of their costs but have charged her 20% of her PPI which she has reluctantly paid today, who can she complain to and get her money back if possible I have told her not to accept this and to take it further - I actually told her not to pay it and to complain to their complaints dept.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi and hope your well.

Well done on your mum's success anyway,, but I expect she is very annoyed, as your mum was left to deal with this complaint on her own in the end, that company does not deserve it in this case.

I am not sure if they will help of not, but you could give the Ministry of Justice a call (MOJ) and see if they can help, here:
    http://www.justice.gov.uk/contactus.htm

Good luck, please could you let us know the outcome of this?
    Many thanks and take care.

  • Hello I'm new and just wanted to express my gratitude to the website and wanted to share my good news and encourage other people to claim back mis-sold PPI

What were you reclaiming: PPI Payment Protection Insurance
    Who was the provider: Natwest
How much did you get back: £635.69
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1st Letter including questionaire

I took out 1 loan with Natwest then had 2 top ups which all included PPI. I sent off my complaint letter and 3 questionaires. It had been 10 weeks then yesterday I got a letter. They found no evidence that the policy was mis-sold and as a gesture of goodwill they are going to refund the insurance premium and interest on my first loan.
I'm still waiting for a responce from RBS on the two top ups I had on top of this original loan..

Can anyone tell from past experience if they will refund me my money on the other 2 loans?

    Many thanks Mike

Just a quick update had another letter today offering me a full refund from RBS £2507.97. Waiting on one more reply now..
Looks like I will be paying off my loan 14months early

  • Hi,

A quick message to say I applied for a refund of my PPI on a mis-sold policy with Virgin Cards, and got my result on Friday - they have credited £1590 to my card which I'm very happy with. I have an outstanding claim with HSBC so fingers crossed!

    Thanks!
