    Hi everyone

I made a claim against HSBC 6 weeks ago for two loans, one in 2003 and the other from 1998 - this one was not paid of until 2003 (although I think they will not consider the 1998 one but worth a try).
My husband also made a claim for one loan . We have both had letters stating that it would be dealt with within 4 weeks then another letter apologising for the delay but they hoped to get back to us within the next 4 weeks.
Yesterday my husband got an offer letter for £3,717. We were really shocked as we thought that if they entertained the claim it would only be worth £1,000. So the acceptance letter has been posted.

We are now waiting to see if I get offered anything on mine. Thanks Martin Lewis, all it took was the cost of a stamp.
    Good for you:beer:

Would just like to say a big thankyou to martin and his great website and the people on here for their advice
  • Was just wondering though how long does it normally take for the monies to be paid after the acceptance has been sent off?

would it be any quicker seeing that i'm a customer of hsbc and its them i've claimed againest?
  • Hi,

We were mis sold a ppi by HSBC Bank back in 2004. I sent them a letter in June and on saturday we received a letter to offer full refund of premiums paid with interest. It totals nearly £6000.:j :j :j

We have another PPI with Egg, but they have told us to complain to the Ombudsman which we are intending to do. I will keep u posted on that one.

Well after my husband got offer £3,717 on Saturday, I received a telephone call on Monday from HSBC on my claims. They told me that they were upholding my claim and I would receive an offer letter this week. The offer would be somewhere in the region of £1,000 (which I was happy with).

Got the offer letter yesterday they have offered me £3920:j hence to say the acceptance letter is going straight in the post box this morning.:D

    Once again thanks Martin Lewis:money:

Just one letter. I was preparing to send another one as nearly 8 weeks had passed.

HSBC told me that once they receive the acceptance it takes 5 working days to credit your current account if you have an HSBC account.
