• Hi everyone

I wonder if you could help me??!! I have successfully won my case against Lloyds TSB for the misselling of PPI. They said they would refund the money to me within 21 days - 21 days is over and no money!! I called to ask about it and they just said there was a back log. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how long did it take for them to pay out?

Thanks xxxx
Feeling like we were sucked in by the hard sell & lack of info / advice!
Well done to everyone who's won their claims & good luck to those ongoging!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hi Alyson

Well done to you.

Yes lots of us have had the same problems via Lloyds ppi refunds.

I would e-mail them regular as well, and copy the email to the Chief Executive officer (CEO), tell them you require your refund for as soon as possible for personal reasons.

customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

They may not email back now - but should do by office hours on Monday, remember to give them details of your claim ref number.

Hope your not waiting much longer, fingers crossed.;)

• Hi
I have been claiming £398 paid from April 2003 until about 2005 from Santander Cards UK on a Kwikfit autocharge card I held. I have had the usual responses and my last letter states that as I agreed to the ppi over the phone verbally that that is enough evidence for the company to refuse to repay the money. They have said should I be unhappy with this I need to contact the FLA (financial and leasing association) and not the FOS. I have phoned Santander and spoken to their customer complaints team and they say it is because the date of the claim is prior to 2007 and so the FOS do not cover them.
I have spoken to a very nice lady at the FLA and she says that I can got through them as long as the FOS are not involved yet and if they fail then I can go to the FOS but I cannot go to the FOS first and back to them.
Has anyone had any dealings with the FLA and of so what are they like.
Also as I agreed verbally on the phone to this ppi how do I stand.
I have claimed that Santander used a telesales marketing employee who sold me the ppi and that I was covered elsewhere which I would have been as I took ppi out on everything at the time.
Also they claim I had a 30 day cooling off period but I cannot remember getting any literature on this especially as I moved house very close to the date in 2003.
looking forward to a response
thanks

OK just received letters from both Santander and the FLA. Santander refusing to pay saying that I was not miss sold the policy and the FLA letter with the line "While the reponse is disappointing you must decide if this resolves the matter for you."
Am I being stupid or is the response from the FLA a complete waste if space.

Mine took just under three weeks from when I posted off acceptance letter. Mine was transferred directly into my account as I have my accounts with Alliance and Leicester. I telephoned them just once and they said that it is normally 2 weeks after they actually receive the acceptance letter. Mine came through on Wednesday so hopefully yours should not be too long.

Hi there

And no your not being stupid.

I understand the FLA have been a waste of time.

I remember contacting them and they could not help and others have been in the same situation too.

I would still contact the FOS on this and they may suggest you pursue the actual insurer/underwriter instead as these would have been regulated by the FSA etc, where-as the FOS would then be able to investigate.

One of mine have gone this direction now (underwriter/insurer).

I would when you get the chance next week, contact the FOS let them know you followed the procedures and of the FLA who have confirmed they are not going to help, then mention about the underwriter direction, they will advise you on this possibly avenue from there.;)
