    Hi Dean

Sorry to hear of your issues via Lloyds, but I must agree with you.

I have read they have made no end of mistakes on ppi refund calculations as well.
Even though I did note they were offering £200 as distress compensation for the error they made, honestly they are totally incompetant, and you have to watch them all the time, so yes always keep a close eye on your accounts.

You can of course complain about the way you have been treated to the Chief Executive officer (CEO).

Not saying he will do much, but maybe a complaint to the FSA would not go amiss either.

All the best with this Dean.;)

I have just emailed him but didn't CC him this time, addressed it straight to him and marked it personal. I told them all of my grievances so hopefully they will get their act together.

Is anyone else having problems getting any information from Alliance and Leicester about when they will send the cheques out for refunds? I called on friday and was told it's taking an extra 10-14 days, so today I called again to see if mine had been issued yet (it's not, surprise surprise) and they told me it's now taking an extra 2-3 weeks! It's getting longer and longer every time I call, and it's well past the 2 weeks they quoted in their offer letter. They say they have put resources in place, yet the timescales are getting longer! i'm so wound up - the guy on the phone could give me no information at all and said there was nobody else i could talk to. I told him it sounds like delaying tactics to me. do you think it's worth complaining to the FOS, or do you think they will say to just wait the extra few weeks? It's starting to feel like they are never going to send me my money back....... How long has it taken anyone else to get the cheque off Alliance & Leicester?

Do you know who the Chief Executive officer is (CEO) of A&L, maybe you could write to the CEO and tell them of this, the only details I have are these here:

    http://www.alliance-leicester.co.uk/customer-service/complaints.aspx

Hope you receive your money soon, but if I come across the CEO details I shall post them to you.

    Good luck.;)

    Hi there

    Do you mean claims company?

If so personally I would not bother, and have a go yourself with help from this site all free.

Its just a matter of completing a questionnaire - these were recently issued by the financial ombudsman service (FOS) for this purpose, you complete, and save a copy and send to whoever was responsible for setting up and who sold you the policy.

They have 8 weeks in full to respond, but I do personally suggest you post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting, so they don't try fobbing you off by stating they have not received your reclaim complaint.

You will find the FOS on link below - further down the page as stage one here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

Hope this helps and apologies if I have mis read.;)

Got an answer from Allianz today stating to go back to M and S and claim from them as they sold the policy. As M and S and the FOS have both sent back my claim due to not being regulated when the policies were taken out I am in a bit of limbo now.. I have sent the 2nd letter to allianz requesting they relook at my claim but I am not holding my breath
Hi, I havent heard from Allianz yet, but interestingly had two letters from M&S who originally completely said No to the claim on both the card and the Reserve account, now saying they are investigating - Again??? I am intrigued and waiting for them to finish their 2nd investigation! Will let you know.
