THats fantastic news, well done x0

I put in a claim a couple of years ago for PPI on a loan linked to my mortgage (Northern Rock) and it was rejected. I didn't know about this site then so just ended up leaving it at that. I got home on friday to a letter saying that they had reviewed my complaint again and had overturned the original decision and would be paying me back the PPI plus 8% interest. I'm not getting a fortune (£699.94) but it's still better in my pocket than theirs.
Not sure what made them re-evaluate my complaint but I'm glad they did!0 -

hi
I had my money of a loan settlement on 02/07/2010, but no final figures letter. the amount i got was £2683.08 which i was wuoted on many occasions. today i had a letter stating the amount due was only half.
Having spoken to a team leader they said if lloyds made a mistake and calculated to much in first place thats there fault and i wont be liable to re-pay what they say i should be due
they are looking into this and they already offered £200 for the problems
any one else heard of them doing this or had a similar problem
cheers0 -

I am sure I have read that lloyds made mistakes on calculations with a few and so they should offer you £200 for the distress and inconvenience they have caused. Its their mistake and not yours, they are incompetent.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi everyone,
Just thought I would update. Telephoned Lloyds insurance today, and they said they have processed claim, and it is awaiting clearance into my account. Total is about £9000 apparently, but gonna wait until it arrives in bank before getting too excited. Will let you know as soon as money comes through how much I get, and how long it took etc. Fingers crossed.

Hi there
Well done on the 2 reclaims.
How annoying on the other 3.
See what the letters say in detail when you receive them first and let us know, we will try to work something out, but the 30 day cancellation is a bog standard excuse.
Did they say if it was the final decisions you were receiving or not?
I would be inclined to write back anyway and if your reasons were the same on all, then they obviously not investigated properly, I would therefore make them aware that you don't believe these actual complaints were investigated properly because you have the same reasons for all, (if that was the case) and make them aware that you are aware the FSA are punishing banks for not investigating complaints properly and for rejecting genuine complaints.
Ask them to reconsider by giving them 7-14 day max, or you will complain to the FOS and also request for further redress for the distress and inconvenience.
(Even if it was the final decision).
It is known that sometimes they do even change a final decision within good reason, good luck and keep at them.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
