    • What were you reclaiming: Loan
    • Who was the provider: Alliance & Leicester (now Santander)
    • How much did you get back: £2800
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Used an agency called Gladstone Brookes
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
Saw an advert on TV for mis-sold PPI and thought it would be worth a shot as I did remember trying to take the PPi off many years ago and was told I could not...

I know that I should have done the work myself however I was not a member of MSE at that point and so paid some £800 in commission that I need not have done...

Just goes to show what a little research and a forum like this can save you!!!

Well done! As Di says any more.. Do it yourself!!! :)
  • Di, Sorry I did not realise your recent lost. I lost my father suddenly 12 years 1 month ago. . . and it does ease believe me.

Hi I was told by the adjudicator over the phone 2 weeks ago that she had upheld our complaint but I have heard nothing as yet by post is this standard practice do the get in touch with the loan company first

How long has your case been with the FOS? I am just sitting and waiting for a response.
