Great work Sally, well done :T & Congratulations:beer:

    Cheers!!!

I still think that Santander are irresponsible bankers. Why choose to pay out £2000 instead of £500?
  • Hi,

We are currently in the process of moving house. It was during the application for a new mortgage we discovered we had an MPPI which we started in 2003. We had heard much about MPPI in the media over the past year or so, but it wasn't until we looked over the details during the remortgage process we realised that it was not compulsory. We researched the internet for help and came across this web site. We decided to give the claim a go and sent off the questionnaire from this website by recorded delivery on 6th July 2010. We got a standard letter last week saying they received our claim and had 8 weeks to respond.

Our question is, how much success is there from claims to Nationwide? We have searched Nationwide MPPI Claims on the web but there doesn't seem to be much. By our calculations we should received £2100 plus 8%.

    Thanks.
    Helen.

I wrote to Northern Rock in March 2008 about PPI but they replied back saying they did not agree I had been misold. I left it at this but today out of the blue I received a letter saying they had looked at it again and agreed I had been misold, payment of £606 being sent to me and monthly amount reduced by £9 for next 33months.
All just in time for holidays.

Update- returned from holidays and my husband who received a payment in 2008 from Nothern Rock as they felt he had been misold PPI, received another letter advising he had received the wrong amount and is to receive £200:rotfl:

How much was the original ppi?,as the total ppi is on your loan goes the whole length of the loan term with interest, and you are only covered on the policy for 5 years.

ahhh that explains a lot! i worked out they were paying £220 a month but when they phoned for a breakdown of what they will recieve the guy said they were paying £130 a month. I was working it out as you only pay for the ppi for 5 years.

The guy at FP was telling the in laws that she is in a very long queue!! glad to see plenty of others are claiming from FP!

If i am correct with what you say, the 13500 comes off the loan, your in laws get £130, times the months they paid this, plus interest on those payments, if fp give goodwill you dont get the 8% if they say you were mis sold you get the 8%.Even so that is a nice sum to get back, and the bonus is the monthly payment will drop by £130 and they will not be paying interest on the ppi as it is removed.Good for you for doing this and keep us posted.

Just would like to post my success with Barclays bank for a personal loan with PPI claim.

Using the templates from mse i sent them to barclays bank claiming my PPI payments back from a loan that i took out 6 years ago.

Yesterday i received a phone call from barclays, confirming that they would uphold my complaint and today i received a cheque for £4661.87, this is the premuim of £3091.08 plus the interest that i paid on this of £774.86 and £1301.49 in interest on the payments at 8%.

I am currently persuing barclaycard and halifax as well for credit card PPI payments, i would recommend that anyone shud do this as i was surprised at how swift this settlement was agreed.

I started this on the 31 march and within 6 weeks i am happy with the cheque that i have received.:j:j

    Hi Guys,

Just an addition to my last post success with barclay card, £3717 refunded for PPI payments from 1993...:T:T and £259 from halifax card so a good £8500 from them this year so far.

back onto Barclays for other loans and claiming back the PPI
