Yeah definitely - if I had of realised I could have done that I would have done that before and after each transaction I used it at.
Made formal complaint with Financial Ombudsman Service this morning and they are writing to Travelex so hopefully speed things up0 -

Yes i specifically asked them to confirm as i would quite often withdraw some euros before travelling south,0 -
To continue or not continue...
I emailed Supercard when I couldn't remember my password for the card that I wasn't expecting... it took them 2 days to respond but they did and told me to uninstall and install - which I did and I can log in. BUT.. I use a Samsung phone and I now get a page telling me that my card is in the post (sic) and giving me a 3 step menu for when it arrives, starting with Link, however the screen is not touch responsive and I can't make any progress. I emailed CS again and was told - Link your card. Ha. Have tried reinstalling again and am about to give up. Shame as we are going on a long trip and while I was going to use a Clarity card as much as possible it seemed a good way to get cash out. Heigh Ho. Maybe I shall cut mine up too!0 -

Not the fee - I'm referring to the exchange rate. At those inferior Raphael Bank exchange rates it negates the reason to use the Supercard surely?? You'd probably get better rates directly from your linked card. Either way you are not getting the Visa daily rate. Its no better than taking cash out from a money changer with lower rates surely? Unless your soul purpose is to use it just so you don't pay the cash interest fees?0 -

The machines I'm talking about don't have their own exchange rate, you would be getting the visa daily, it's simply a machine dispensing euros, charged in euros no conversions applied by the machine0 -

Are you linking a Debitcard or Creditcard when withdrawing cash in the UK ??
Have you tried withdrawing cash in GBP instead of Euro ??
The reason why I am asking because I read somewhere that you will not be able to withdraw cash if you are linking a Creditcard to be used for cash trasaction in the UK.
Also if they allowed this. It is only a matter of short period of time before they go bankrupt for the following reason:
- Cash withdrawal using supercard is flagged as purchase, so you could earn cashback while withdrawing cash in GBP in the UK. So if this was allowed it would mean you would earn cashback + interest free grace period of at least one month while withdrawing GBP in the UK.
- If allowed and many people were doing this multiple times within a sort period they will default.
Which cash machine did you use to withdraw Euro in the UK ???
I am asking this because apart from few cash machines from money corps here in the UK, there is no way you could withdraw Euros in the UK wihout involving DCC (e.g their own poor conversion rate). So if this was the case than you undermine the benefit of using Supercard ..0 -
There are Ulster bank machines in Northern Ireland that dispense euros, (and possibly bank of Ireland) and its def a euro transaction no choice of currency, just euros The credit card scenario wouldn't work as it's not gbp you can withdraw0

I've an interesting one though if anyone fancies trying? what about a sterling despensing ATM abroad? Def some of these in Turkey how would they work with supercard and a credit card?0

Has anyone tried the Revolut Mastercard? I've ordered one and I'm hearing much better reports than the Travelex Supercard, which I tried and failed to get due to the demand.0
