Thanks for your sage advice...I deleted it from my iPad so as to reinstall it, only to find the app is no longer available on the Apple App Store!!!

Still have on it my Android phone, however.........so if ithe card ever turns up, and if I can get my account "unsuspended", we might be in business.

Had an email from them today:

Hello,
Welcome to Supercard, and what a couple of weeks it’s been! When we launched two weeks ago, demand went through the roof – there are clearly many more people in the UK than we first imagined, who want to eliminate their bank card roaming fees when spending abroad.
With this being the case, we decided to release another batch of Supercards, so that more of you could take part in the pilot. And you’re one of the lucky few selected to be part of our extended pilot!
We’re now working through the initial list first and getting these cards in the post as quickly as is (super) humanly possible. But with all the extra cards we’ve released, this means there will be a delay before your Supercard wings its way to you. It may be a few weeks, but we are beavering away and if we can get it to you any quicker, we will.
Thanks once again for joining us on this journey, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Really poorly managed product launch it must be said. I guess at least this way once I eventually do get my card there should be plenty of feedback on it...

My wife got an email today like that one ^^^^^^^^

I got mine at the weekend and activated it with no problems.

Card arrived last Saturday, an hour before I left for the airport. Linked a Barclaycard to the Supercard and a debit card as a backup using the android version of the app.

Worked in a US vending machine on Saturday evening, it was recognised as a credit card (and added a 10c surcharge).

Worked in Canada multiple times from fast food payments to hotels. Canada requires a PIN for payments in the same manner as the UK. The card + PIN was declined at two locations - a backup credit card worked - but the app is listing 15 transactions that were successful. These were all purchases, I did not need cash.

Over 3 days the 14 Canadian transactions each show different rates even when the transactions are at the same transaction within an hour or two (such as entry to an attraction, gift shop purchase and food purchase). Possibly due to rounding on small transactions. Exchange rates shown in the app are of the format 1 GBP = 0.525096 CAD

None of the charges have posted to my Barclaycard account but the total for pending transactions looks about correct.

I also got the email telling me that I'll probably have to wait a week or two more. I've got a long weekend in Belgium before then but not to worry if it hasn't arrived as I'm no worse off than I was before Supercard entered my head. For a few days I'm happy to carry Euros as all travel and accomodation has been paid for.

I'm probably not going to go abroad until November after this but that'll be 4/5/6 weeks away in 2/3 different countries so that's where it'll really be useful. Fingers crossed that all issues will have been ironed out by then.

For anyone that has their cards, you are able to change the pin at any uk cash point and it also update the "view supercard pin" within the app
