It varies, despite what it says in the t&c. It's quick and easy to extract a form if you don't receive one - a court may consider it unreasonable for you to make no attempt to obtain one and (in any case) I only sue when a company deserves it. Personally, I don't consider it would in this instance - provided they rectify it readily (which, in mhy experience, they do!).0

Hi all,
I've just come across mobiles2yourdoor.com and they have some of the most impressive deals I've found to date. They seem to be part of the same group Phones 4u is part of but I've not found much information on them here or elsewhere.
I'm looking at this company too. At the moment the deal I've got is with e2save which seems to be Carphone Warehouse's version of mobiles2yourdoor.com.
e2save are owned by carphone warehouse and all my bills have carphone warehouse on them, and it appears phones4u have done the same thing with these.
Quite a number of companies have 2 sites, one is the official site and the other is a hidden site the idea is that the majority of people will buy their phones from the official site - ie carphonewarehouse.com or phones4u.com but they also catch the minority who don't want to pay as much by running the budget site (i.e. e2save and mobiles2yourdoor), there are other companies that do similar tricks such as BT Cellnet and Genie (they were the same company, but Genie was the "hidden" company that always offered far better deals than BT Cellnet, Genie disappeared when BT Cellnet became O2).
My deal with e2save though is due to end and they've offered me a really rubbish deal so I might switch to mobiles2yourdoor. The deal e2save have offered is £210 free cashback (post the bills off type deal) on a 12 month contract and keep the phone I've had for nearly 2 years now, whereas on phones4u I've seen the Samsung J700 with 16 months free rental (worth £480) on the same O2 contract, although no doubt when I call e2save up and ask for my PUK code they'll probably try and match Phones4U's deal, I'm also with 3 and I've managed to get them to match other deals!0 -
Hiya i recently bought a 12 month contract phone on vodaphone through mobiles2yourdoor, but i was wondering what i should recieve through the post. Do i get an order summary - details concerning my redemption offer and how to claim my cashback? Thanks to anyone who can help!0
-
You should get some paperwork through the post which includes insurance and a 'gadget helpline' which you'll need to cancel within 30 days if you don't want them.
IIRC you won't get anything immediately about the cashback bt you'll get a form through the post after about 5 months. The terms and conditions are on the website, you need to look for them.0 -
Thanx for that coz i woz getting abit worried that they'd put me on a standard tariff since all the paperwork was about my direct debit mandate (i opted out of the insurance thing)0

With all the experiences and guidelines on this forum it still amazes me that people jump into cashback deals without understanding expactly how they work beforehand. These people are usually the first to rant and rave when things go wrong later.0

mobilejunkie, i'm not raving or ranting simply wondering. I know the risks involved as i took out a cashback claim with coolnewmobile a while back and that went down the drain - but i did not complain because i know technically i didn't really lose out on anything.0

Having had your fingers burned I'm then rather amazed you entered into this deal without knowing the answers beforehand. Forewarned is much more effective than trying to find out basic answers after the event. I would never advise others to embark on any cashback deal without thorough research and understanding of both the t&c and the dealer. If you are prepared to risk the money to save the research, of course that is your right - I just spend a lot of time on here trying to help many others who should have known better in the first place.0

Anyone know when M2YD are likely to change their deals, my current contract(s) are up soon and as I've had no problems with the cashback from them I'd like to use them again0
-
I have a M2YD contract with chequeback.
I am about to make my 1st claim, do I have to send my original bill or will a printout from my Vodafone online account suffice.
For some reason I am not getting Vodafone bills through the post, which I chased up and got nowhere with!0
