Er... so what's new? Still, all the variations on the problems of this particular company are worth hearing aboue!
All you have to do with most of these companies is try and get some straight answers from them beforehand - in writing. You'll be lucky to get through to speak and the phone and a lottery winner for a written response. If they aren't able to do THAT much BEFORE you're a customer, what chance after? having said all that, I may give them a twirl... it's about time I had to take someone to court! So far Ive comfortably avoided it but methinks the courts are going to get a lot busier pretty soon now...!
I was contemplating a brand new thread earlier on Cashback Deals in general. I have never seen such a concerted effort by just about all companies, large and small, with or without good reputations to misguide, cheat and treat their customers with contempt as right now. Time and again people appear to be rushing into deals making the same old mistakes others were making a year or more back. Only NOW they are even MORE likely to get fleeced!0 -

On the 5th September I ordered a clearance phone Sony Ericsson W850i this was a 12 month contract with 7 months cashback and a free Nintendo Wii, and providing I ordered before 1300 I would receive the phone the next day.....I didn't as I still had not received it on the 10th I emailed them (no reply) and checked the web site suprise suprise the offer had gone and now just a free Wii was on offer. I dialed their money making 0870 number on the 11th September they said that the offer had been a mistake and that they knew it had been on the site for a few days but that I was not entitled to it. I said that I didnt want the phone then, I was then told that I would have to send it back when it finally got here. I am fuming if I had not asked about the offer I would have had no idea that they were not agreeing to when they advertised this phone for sale and it would have only come to light when I was applying for the cash back. Does anyone know if they can do this, do I just have to accept this?
I am in desperate need of a new phone as my orange contract will be
cancelled 18th September.
Any advice would be greatfuly received.
Thank you

Sorry i can't help, but i had a similar thing happen to me where i ordered a phone Sony K810i i think on 12 months free and it didn't appear.
Apparently the order got cancelled in the warehouse so no email was sent out to warn me of this!!! Good job i phoned them, although like you say i had to wait for 20mins at 9:01am because it was a busy time!!0 -
At least you actually got through rather than being automatically cut off after going through all the menus, as is there usual practice!0

No need to dial the 0870 number. Just dial 01782 677600 and ask for mobiles2yourdoor customer service.0

Just so you know I have had some luck in getting through to them. I've found calling them before 12pm I tend to get through fairly easily. However, when calling later in the day I get the recorded message which tells me they are busy and then hangs up.
Being persistent I kept redialling and to my surprise I actually got through on the 3rd attempt. Overall I can't have been calling/holding for more than 5 mins, which really isn't that bad.
This may have been a fluke but it's worth trying.0 -
Has anyone else had this same experience with mobiles2yourdoor? I will let you know on here what happens after 28 days. It begins to look like yet another court case which I had hoped to avoid. Also by the way when I received the mobile phone there was a problem with the connection. The phone was not connected at all. I had to ring the network who had to give me a new number and connect me.
maybe this is why they thought you had cancelled it? maybe vodaphone cancelled the number M2YD had given you and started a new one and M2YD took that as you had cancelled it at vodafone? just a thought.
i've got another week or 2 before i start worrying about the Wii. fingers crossed it comes tho!0 -
Latest update on my sufferings with this shower of cheaters. I now realise they are the very worst and most dishonest of all the mobile retailers on-line I have ever dealt with. Firstly they are claiming that I cancelled my contract, despite the fact that I am still connected with the network provider. Then they will not reply to my repeated e-mail messages to them even with a Read Receipt request pointing out that this is not true. And of course it is impossible to get through to Customer Service on the telephone.
Now today I have discovered that they are not keeping to their own terms and conditions. They state that they take a £1 deposit from your credit card and refund this as soon as you are connected to the chosen network. I was connected the day I received the mobile phone. Even so, they have taken the £1 deposit and not refunded it. If they get away with this with every customer they are making a tidy extra profit out of this scam.
Now today I have discovered that although they have not replied to my repeated e-mail messages to them about this, they have actually placed a block on my e-mail address so that any e-mail I send them is rejected
"Sent <<< .Received >>> 550 5.7.1 this system has been configured to reject your mail (i) Unable to deliver message to <customer.services@Mobiles2yourdoor.co.uk>."
It is clear that we are going to have another County Court case here! I shall wait for 28 days from connection when I should receive my incentive gift and then go for it with costs and interest again.
MY ADVICE - DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS SHOWER OF SCAM MERCHANTS Mobiles2yourdoor unless you want to be cheated. They seem to be the very worst in the business and deliberately go out of their way to commit fraud in every way possible. Watch Out. Caveat Emptor0
