Ajax will definitely make you giggle when he stops feeling so bad about his birthday feast. Knowing Ajax he'll be reporting in next week having lost all the extra plus some. He's a very determined chap . . . ..

..... me? :o I'm not worthy lol. Extra plus some is not going to happen, but I expect it gone in two weeks, and there'll be an inquest if it hasn't.

If anyone does want a giggle, there's this. It's so totally not WL related but has had me chuckling for a couple of days now.

ajax double digits? 10 lb or more in a week surely not:eek:

    ...

..I kid you not. Like I said last week, I have the ability to pile it on really quickly and lose it quickly too. I suppose it's through my attitude to it all, readily accepting that life gets in the way and having occasional binge weeks - if I was stricter I wouldn't fluctuate so easily I guess. It will be gone again before the challenge deadline, no fear of that.
  • Hi all!

Suggs, thanks for not spoiling for us! And of course you are the hero of the thread, that goes without saying. So whats your power?

Thanks KPC, I would like to claim my power is 'will' (think about it :) ) But if I had to have a power, and it was a power from Heros? Then stopping time would be cool.

    So whats your power???

Has Hiro, gone to the diner yet???

Ooooh...can you let me know if the book is any good Vic?

For a recipe book to work for me it has to have pictures and it has, it has to be a few ingredients and done and it is, it has to not have reems of reading/making/following/trudging from shop to shop for the elusive 'pungy beans' or whatever and it does not make you do that so yes it is very good.

It has hints and tips, calories to watch out for, what to try to avoid, how to adapt your fav recipes for less calories but still tasting delicious (my family have loved them all!!) it does not proclaim to be a diet book just a cut back on calories and think of the wasted ones you use up without thinking book highly recommended my next recipe will be mexican burgers....

    456 per serving
burgers- 400 g of turkey mince(best you can buy), 1 small onion chopped, 1 garlic, chopped, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp ground corainder, 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, pinch of dried chilli flakes. make into 8 patties.
Cook for five mins each side on a griddle.

    To make guacamola-
    1 avocado
    1 garlic
    1 lime
salt and pepper, blend with the whizzer.

    To make salsa-
    4 ripe toms
    1/2 red onion
    120g tinned blackeye beans
    a splash of olive oil
    juice 1/2 lime
    a handful of coriander
1/2 chilli or more if you like it hot

    Mix all,season.

mexican burgers with 4 flour tortillas, 1/2 iceburg lettuce. 150 g greek 0% yogurt, 1 lime and jalapeno peppers, assemble and serve immediately

Its been ages since I dropped by - well at least 2 weeks. Anyway, I lost nowt last week, even though I did a 10 mile walk but I've lost 2lbs this week so well chuffed, particularly as I ate loads of non-weight losing stuff. Also took delivery of a case of wine from the wine club...........vehhhhhry bad news!!!! At least if it's not to hand I'm too lazy to go out and get it. I'm trying to drink it as fast as I can though to remove temptation.

    Have a good week everyone.

I'll look after it for you Lelc.....
  • Well done newlywed and vickyj :j :j I'm pleased to see that not everyone had bad weekends :j ...

...Sorry to read that you're still struggling homealone :grouphug: I really do hope that it gets easier for you soon, but at least you're continuing to post here :T ...

...I've just made a cottage pie ready for dinner using Quorn mince. Never used the stuff before, I have yet to finish off baking it but it does look very nice and the whole dish totals less than 1050 cals:j. So, if it's as filling as a meat one it'll be quite a saving calorie wise, was quicker to prepare too...
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
  • I feel as it ifs been ages since I was on here!!
