  • afternoon all - glad you found the supernoodle tip useful a1969. I wish they did more flavours but they do the job as a reasonably filling lunch. IF you stay off the real thing you'll stop noticing the difference.
Newlywed, I'm not big on the taste of porridge either - i now put some frozen raspeberries in which helps, and I also add a sachet of options/highlights which really ups the taste factor. I had turkish delight (options) porridge this morning and it was delicious. I didn't put the rasps in though, though that would be a bit weird.

thanks to all who responded to the swap box idea. I reckon there are enough of us interested to go for it so here we go . . . . .

Please pm me with your real name and postal address by 300907. I'll then turn this into a chain and send you the details of your swappee. I promise to only send your address to one person and nothing else! The person you send to isn't the person you are receiving from. Then, you have a budget of £7.50. Please try and stick to it. Then all you have to do is put your box together and post it so that it arrives to be opened on 311007. Remember to include a card so your swappee knows who it's from! If your box arrives before then you are not allowed to open it - the idea is that we all open them 'together' on October 31 and then you can post about what you got. You can put anything you like in your box, but NOT CHOCOLATE!!!! Also remember that your swappee may be a vegetarian so unless you're sure I wouldn't send them £7.50's worth of spam - the postage would be crippling anyway . . . . Use your swappees username to look at their posts and find out the kind of thing he/she might like.

    Any questions, please pm me.

    xx

Right frozen raspberries on payday then... ;)

I love Dorset Cereals fruity porridge but at £3 for about a week's worth it's a bit pricey this far away from last payday! ;)

  • It did 6gcnqxl.gif ...

...I've bought some of the Tesco own brand meat free burgers similar to those that I tried from Morrisons. The food values per burger are 85 cals and 2.8 gms fat of which 0.3 gms is saturated. Like the the ones from Morrisons these too are made in the Czech Republic, so no doubt they're from the same manufacturer, but these are even cheaper £1.58 for 8 :rotfl: they'll be chucking them at us soon :rotfl: Sorry, getting carried away. Will now go and look for a chip...

Are you the headmistress? dare I ask what type of school you work in?

    Does that answer the question??

    In reverse order ....

....yes it did .... very clearly.

....a mainstream first school (means Nursery to year 3 or aged 3 to 8 in old money) about 330 children and 60 staff, not all the staff are full time. Very mixed sort of school, additionally resourced for children with physical disabilites, good reputation for special needs generally so lots of other needy children too.

....yes I am. :o Sorry if it shows. But I love it, wouldn't do anything else.

The wraps were absolutely lovely:j :j the freshness of the garlic sauce made with 0% greek yogurt made them unbelievably moorish, I only had one but the kids and H went mad for them, I shoved inside the wraps the home made coleslaw that the kids had they seen it would wretch at the thought but they scoffed it like it was going out of fashion:T it was a huge success .I would highly recommend them, H said it was like having kebabs from the shop but much fresher, much less calories, no sugar, brilliant we will def be having them again.

No you have not got it wrong;) we got on fine so long as we spent less than 2 hours a day in each others company:rolleyes: now she is coming to the house to stay for 5 days:eek: H thinks I have gone to just manageable relationship to OMG how are you going to cope with her belitteling everything you do and say? I figure confront your demons, head on:rotfl: :rotfl:

When I was over in Spain she watched and commented on everything I ate (kept telling her must be doing something right as I have lost 5 stone!) what I said and did so not much:rotfl: :rotfl: now she is coming to add what she didn't get a chance to in Spain:rotfl:

Thing the worst and get the best that is my motto:rotfl:

Thanks for the help re the jam jars:beer: . Lakeland do a good offer but the nearest shop to me is closed for refurbishment, but I've managed to get hold of a few quite locally so these will do for today. I threw a load out last year as I thought I wouldn't be bothering anymore with jam making but I couldn't resist nature's free bounty :money: this year. The other year I went to Ikea and bought some of their Rowanberry jam which was lovely, and I've since found a recipe for it, so when I get some more jars I'll give it a go.

Dunno if it helps but my mum always saves old jars from coffee, sauces all sorts...then sterilises them. Far easier to find although I doubt they look as pretty..

    hi all

A big well done to all your weight loses!

I've lost 1 stone on weight watchers online and would love to lose another by Christmas. Finding it hard though. I watch what I eat, go to the gym 3 times a week (just do threadmill and speed walk 3 miles each session) and still struggle to get to 2lbs a week lost. Anyone with suggestions pls do let me know!

    Cheers

    MM

    2lbs a week is great!!
For a bit of variety why not hop on the excercise bike? It'll trick your body into thinking it will be doing more! (think thats hw it works anyhow...just swop it in either instead of or in addition to depending on how nackered you are one of your treadmill sessions) the change will make the gym a bit more interesting as well....(everytime I go at the minute all they have on is programs like chantelles run down of reality tv stars songs...and i always forget to take my own music ).

  • Victory Could you please put the recipes on here? I've been to the site but don't want to register (or, more honestly, cough up the dosh ;) ).
