  • hi all

A big well done to all your weight loses!

I've lost 1 stone on weight watchers online and would love to lose another by Christmas. Finding it hard though. I watch what I eat, go to the gym 3 times a week (just do threadmill and speed walk 3 miles each session) and still struggle to get to 2lbs a week lost. Anyone with suggestions pls do let me know!

    Cheers

  • Good morning everyone!!

Thanks katiepoppycat for the tip about low fat supernoodles.. I didn't know they were free on green, so I whizzed out and bought ten packets yesterday. They aren't quite as nice as the normal ones I didn't think, but will certainly do the trick for work lunches... and at 37p are a lot cheaper than the £2.00 + I was spending on a baguette everyday!!

Ftb, I know what you mean about feeling better, I feel lighter already and seem to have more energy even though this is only day 4. On the downside though, I have been waking up really starving every morning... I never usually eat breakfast, so this is quite odd!!

Crazychatter, I've just started back at slimming World after a gap of quite a few years. You did well to lose another 2lbs!! You've done really well so far!!

I have 31lbs to get to my interim target, and then another 28lbs to reach the top end of my healthy weight range  I would be quite happy with a total loss of 45lb though.. that would be a comfortable size 14 for me.

I'm not back at work now til Monday.. it's going to be a nightmare keeping out of the biscuit tin!!

    xx

Hi all, well after some very very hungry days where I kept giving in, yesterday I went back on the porridge for breakfast (honestly not my favourite breakfast).

Definitely does the trick keeping the munchies at bay till lunchtime. Hoping for the same effect today. ;)

Suggs Am I right in thinking you lost 2lb without even really meaning to? Do you think you've so successfully changed your eating habits that you just automatically make the best choices? will that day ever come for me? Good luck with the next 1lb. I think you shoud have T shirts printed!! Small ones.

    .

Hi Granny, I think the best answer is sort of? I did start the week by dropping my gym work down around 10% ad trying to add more jogging. but a couple of days I fell into the trap and fell back into my old ways. I also played a full 80mins of rugby last saturday. I admit to having half an eye on hitting 150lbs lost its a nice round number :)

Are you the headmistress? dare I ask what type of school you work in?

    Does that answer the question??

...but don't let this put off our lovely new folk crazychatter and madsmum who I would like to offer the 471qq2p.gif. Madsmum, don't be too hasty about losing the weight, 2lbs a week is the most that you should healthily lose unless of course you are very overweight at present. Take it steady and it's more likely to stay off :D ...

    ...Annie ...
You could be talking about my life here. .... I am going to try so hard this time to stay on the right road because I feel time is passing me by and sooner or later they will come along and dig the road up and I will have lost my chance to be slim forever.
    Good luck.

...Thank you for your post which echo a lot of my sentiments :T When I hit a low patch a few weeks into my diet, I thought that I'd never lose my excess weight and that this would be my last chance. I've kept that memory to the front of my mind to keep me on the straight and narrow, it does get harder as you get older, and I don't want to go through it all again. I think the road has been dug up behind me:o

...I hope everyone has a lovely positive day

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

welcome crazychatter and madsmum :j :j

I am feeling diabetic lousy today and right 'ol sorry for myself:cool: I am going to have to stay in behind closed doors as I am no fun for anyone today:rolleyes:

OMG my mother is coming to stay here in this house with me:eek: I heard she was going to be in UK so emailed and asked her to come, it is normally a formality because she always says no but this time she said 'thank you for the invitation, we would be pleased to accept'(sounds very regal!):rotfl: :rotfl: OMG:eek:

I cooked plaice and chips www.cookyourselfthin.co.uk way and the topping on the plaice was divine, the chips did not work out so well so they ended up in the bin and my pan was completely ruined so that is in the bin also but will try again using egg white on the potatoes and cajun spices, H was very impressed with the batter though, very lemony and fresh tasting...

I also made the strawberry tart and the apple crumble (not for me for the kids and H) they loved it so much there is no strawberry tart left over from last night!! and the apple crumble has had a lot of it taken out!!

Tonight it is lebanese chicken wraps with garlic sauce and with home made coleslaw all from the website, I am getting so much exercise because I put the video recipe on the pc, go into the kitchen, come back to look again, in out in out and eventually the recipe gets put in the oven and then back again to compare my end result with theirs!!
