katyk i was so very sorry to hear your sad news. It;s just terrible to lose a much loved pet, I hope you and the family are feeling better soon. a1969 welcome aboard! Sounds like you had a fun week last week, but I think you'll be surprised at how quickly it comes off. The quicker it cgoes on, the quicker it's likely to come off and if you really stick like glue to SW I think you'll get a good result. If you aren't used to masses of fruit and veg be prepared for the 'Slimming Winds' effect. I wish someone had warned me about it before I'd started, it came as a bit of a shock to the OH! Anne021063 - another member of the 100 club! You guys rock!
Ajax - have pm'd you ref bodyoptimise. Hope you enjoy looking at my food diaries . . . . .
to finish just need to report a 0.6kg loss this week. Got 4 people on the list to do a swap box too - anyone else up for it? Drop me a PM! Catch you all laterxx0 -
Reporting a half pound loss this week --- but hey I'm happy. Being away for a weekend in a hotel would normally be a license to eat, I can put on 5lb in 2 days easily. And I haven't. I've lost, even if it is a tiny tiny amount. (makes a total of 6.5lb)0

Big apologies for not posting in this thread for a while. I just couldn't face it to be honest.
I'm just not losing weight, even tho' I go to the gym at least 3 times a week and spend approx 2 hrs in there; 40 mins at least spent on the cardio machines. I'm dieting too + I'm a veggie so can't even say I've been stuffing my face with maccie ds.
Had thyroid tests and all are fine. haven't a bloody clue what I'm doing wrong. Someone suggested that maybe I wasn't eating enough
Who knows. 0 -

Wow! sounds like you've put a lot of effort in for very little return (hugs).
Have you tried measuring in other ways? if you're going to the gym you must be noticeably fitter than when you started...probably more toned too.
have you lost any weight from the start? has it just hit a level and stopped?0 -
I had a recipe for WW cottage pie (the one made with beef mince not lamb although I don't eat red meat so make mine with chicken!) Anyway............:rotfl: :rotfl: seem to have lost it and was going to cook it for tomorrow, it went along the lines of replacing the potato topping with swede and carrot instead to reduce points/calories, to make it more diet friendly, so lovely peeps has anyone got the recipe stored away somewhere or even knows what I mean?:rotfl: :rotfl:
It is basically a very low fat/low calorie/low points way of making a family favourite but lost recipe....help:j
I am moving my post to the forward as everyone is ignoring it:rotfl: :rotfl:
petrichor you must be able to help me:D
well done skintcatt and granny you know 0.5lb is so much better than a 5lb weight gain;)0 -

Frylite some chopped onion, garlic and celery, add low-fat mince, brown, then add chopped carrot, bisto granules, salt and pepper and water and simmer for half an hour.
Do your mash (half and half parnsip is good) then assemble and cook for about 35/40 mins at about 190C.
any of those sound familiar?0 -

Hi folks,
I've not been around much as I had to go and visit a sick relative. I have lived on hotel and motorway services food for three days so I don't think this weeks loss will be as good as last week. I am preparing myself for a maintain rather than a loss this week.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I have worn a pedometer and not quite reached the 10k but near enough. Question is.. (if anyone can help) in the BBC Fat Nation book it says that you should walk 10k to control your weight. Now since I haven't been doing that (more like 3/4k) does that mean now that I nearly do, that it should help me lose weight because I'm not used to it or do I need to do over 10k? Oh and some of the walking is at toddler pace when I let dd out of pram does that count? as its not brisk walking. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks
Hi JKHE - the advice given to me was that any walking will help reduce your weight if it is more than your body is used to. When I went to RC classes, I found I averaged more than 10000/day anyway without making special effort to increase it (Something to do with being a non-driver...) and I was told that I would need to aim for 15000 if I wanted to see it make me lose weight. The reason was my body was used to 10k and thus it only helped me maintain. However, another woman at the same meeting only averaged 3-4000 and was told she should notice a real difference in her weight if she could increase to and maintain a steady 10k average. Hope this helps
Many thanks for all advice re Shadow, everybody. Ajax, I will see what the CPL have to say and think it over for a while. Meanwhile kids a little happier after we all wrote goodbye messages on a helium balloon, stuck his photo on the other side and set it free. Might sound a bit mushy, but anything that helps as we did not bury him but let the vet cremate.
Back on diet as of today - have decided I need to go back to writing everything down again.
Thanks again
