  • Thanks everyone for the warm welcome :)

Got about 10 mins till I have to leave and wondering if I should have a quick chocolate bar before I set off :p

Don't know if it was a good idea, but I just got on my scales and made a note of my weight, to see how they correlate with the ones at SW.

I have been to SW in the past, but not for about 5 years and I'm actually 2 stone heavier now than I was when I went to that very first weigh in (and 4 stone heavier than I was when I stopped going!!)

I'll be back later when I get over the humiliation :D

Hi folks - another mass of postings to catch up on in just a day or so.
Hardly know where to start with all the congrtulations - Happy Birthday Ajax and I am glad Bailey has perked up; Fantastic news Starlight - 100lb in just 8 months is unbelievably impressive!; well done too to Annie, Victory and all other losers and welcome on board A1969baby and Beccaoz. Also glad to hear you are having a great time in India, Bails.

Well I had a naughty weekend due to DS birthday party and sleepover, and today has been an I don't really care what I eat day because of some bad news this morning. A nice young lady called me at 8.40 to tell me she had just found one of my two cats by the roadside where he had clearly been laid after being hit, presumably last night. He was a beautiful pewter grey moggy who loved to cuddle up on my knee only (very stand-offish to everyone else as a rule) and he was only 5 1/2 and I have been blubbing on and off all day, along with 2 heartbroken children. Now they are terrified to let his brother out of their sight, but we cannot realistically keep him inside forever. Consequently the thought of cooking just did not appeal and DH has gone off to the chipper, so cannot see me losing anything this week. Don't honestly care too much right now - will get back on the wagon tomorrow.

Sorry to have such a depressing tilt to the conversation. Will hopefully be more upbeat next visit.

    Katyk

    My BMI is 21.8;)

If you wouldn't mind revealing it Victory, what was your bmi when you started? I just want to marvel at your success.
I just cannot even imagine having such a healthy sounding bmi as that -- mine's about 36 at the moment

Could someone enlighten me please, as to the exact meanings of low fat and very low fat especially as used in SW? I'm merrily eating what I believe to be free food (very low fat) and maybe it isn't. I guess there's a particualr % but I don't know what it is. I'm sure I should know. Hangs head in shame.

And has anyone ever calculated how many calories they eat on a SW plan? (Preferably a successful loser!) It can't truly be 5000 .... can it?
  • katyk sorry to hear about your cat *HUGS* I can imagine cooking is the last thing on your mind
