    Hi everyone,

My problem areas mainly are breakfast and lunch. I do not like milk so i find cerals are out of the question. I also tend to eat breakfast at work, so some kind of morning low fat slice (oaty) would be brilliant if anyone wants to point me in the right direction for a receipe.

    All the best

Hullo, do you like yogurt? cereal and yogurt go very well together and you could mix them together at work to avoid the soggy mush factor...

You could try a low fat cake recipie maybe
    e.g. http://www.droylsden.net/docs/143_Recipes.htm#_Weetabix_Cake
(not sure how accurate the syns are if you're following SW and I have never tried it so I have no idea how it would actually turn out/taste)
  • Hey Starlight - any chance of seeing your before and afters? Please!????

By the way Ajax did you know Starlight has connections on another forum that will give you the points values on your chinese takeaways? If you ask nicely, she might let you see.

Maybe its time to pick a vague eating plan to help you get off the starting block again. You could try it for a week or two and see if it makes a difference. Eliminate all the possible factors one by one.

...... following on from this megatron, to give you a vague idea of how many points you would get on the Weight watchers system:

you'd get 9 for being male
you'd get 4 more for being 24 years old
I'm assuming you are now 17 stone something, so you'd get 17 more (1 point per full stone)

If you are above 5 foot 4 add 2 more points or
If you are below 5 foot 4 add 1 point

In your day to day life are you:
Sitting down most of the time - 0 points
Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing - 2 points
Walking most of the time - 4 points
Doing physically hard work most of the time - 6 points

Now add up all your points and this is your daily points allowance.

Thanks again to delly for the info, I will reproduce this ad finitum :)

    Thanks for your response,

I have done the cereal and yoghurt thing before. Perhaps it might be time to revisit. Will most likely need to weight the cereal as I always have too much.

I do know of the weetabix cake but I can't make it anymore. Made it one time, was extremely ill that night (not due to the cake), so now the thought of it makes my stomach turn.

Thanks for your advice. Much appreciated!!
  • Hi beccoaz and welcome to our lovely thread. As you can see^^we have lots of folk who have lost lots :D so you'll be in good company :j I don't bother too much about morning food so I can't really help you about the low fat slice, but someone here will surely be able to. At the start of the thread there are some links to sites that may help you, until help arrives. I wish you luck, but stay with us as the inspiration will help you and we are all MSE conscious :money: Edit Try this site for low fat recipes...

...:T :T :T starlight :j :j :j Well done on achieving the 100lb mark  I agree with delly, can we see the pics please?...

...I'd like to mention that those Tesco mushroom burger thingys were really nice. I had one on Saturday with some canned tomatoes, and one yesterday with a salad. So 2 nice low cal meals, I shall definitely buy some more :j . Appetite still not what it should be but I'm not complaining ;) ...
