  • Wow! sounds like you've put a lot of effort in for very little return (hugs).
Have you tried measuring in other ways? if you're going to the gym you must be noticeably fitter than when you started...probably more toned too.

have you lost any weight from the start? has it just hit a level and stopped?

To be honest I've hardly noticed any alterations. I'm still having trouble getting into clothes I used to wear 7 months ago. I've never been this heavy, just can't understand it. Even the GP is stuck, however, she's hardly carried out any tests or anything.

I did lose 3lbs 1 week but it pretty much went back on again :(

I'm at a loss really now. I'm still trying tho'

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • Wow what a lot to catch up on this week. So sorry to hear your news Katyk, our pets are really members of the family and its hard I known.

Happy birthday to Ajax and Lois belatedly, Hope you both has fantastic days.

Glad to hear that Baileys on the mend now, Ajax.

Well, lost a pound this week. Going to look perhaps at giving weightwatchers a go me thinks as its been really slow going. Been watching the Cook Yourself Thin programme tonight though, has anyone given it a go ? it looks more my sort of thing really.

  • evening! Just been to wetherspoons for tea and was a very good girl and had a red day steak with HEB spud. Which meant I could spend some syns on a penguin, yay!

a1969, definitely try to stay in the same room as the dog for the next few days. I find giving it a little nudge with my foot to make it look round helps enormously with that whole 'oh my GOD can you believe what we are feeding that animal?' line. Alas, we don't have a dog and my OH did not believe that it was the goldfish in our house. Fortunately your body adapts quite quickly.

This sounds a really tough situation and I'm at a loss to know what to say that could possibly be helpful but didn't want to ignore you!!
In desparation to try and offer something, have you tried keeping a detailed food diary for a week, with weights and everything to take to show the Dr? I'm sorry that I can't remember if you are calorie counting or following a particular plan. Why hasn't she refered you to the practice dietician?

Beanielou, I'm sorry I can't remember, but have you been consistant losing small amounts that are gradually (if painfully slowly) adding up or are you up and downing? Sorry you are feeling discouraged. It is hard when you put n the work and the results so slow.

  • Brighton Belle I've been counting calories and I don't need a dietician I wouldn't have thought. I have been suffering with headaches and I've found that drinking Lucozade helps tremendously. I'll just have to keep batteling with it.

    Hi Folks
Can I register a 1/2 lb gain this week please - hardly unexpected with all the cheating - in fact had expected worse.
    Thanks
    Katyk
