  • Ajax...There is no description on the website but going from the nutritional info I think the deli style subway involves a roll rather that the baguette bread thing they normally use (never knew there was this choice)....you can find all the nutritional info here though (or somewhere around this site if I haven't linked it properly....

so you could at least point up what you want.

cheery-pip....I feel the need for a cuppa
Sorry to butt in on your conversation but I noticed you were talking about "subway". I don't know if any of you watch "The Biggest Loser" on Living 2 but they had a great tip on there, when you go to order your deli roll/baguette ask the assistant to slice in half then remove the inside of the roll. This gives you a nice hollow to fill with extra salad making your carb intake alot lower but still giving you the satisfaction of tasting bread.
I can only please one person per day.
    Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Thanks very much for the info on subway and the top tip, I always take out the middle of the bread and the kids do too but have never asked them to do it at subway, you live and learn;)

My fav is the brown roll with turkey and loads of salad, I love toms so I ask for more toms than lettuce and it is just divine, my H loves it too

Thanks .. can I ask though ... are they very authentic (i.e. meaty) tasting? I've been veggie for 22yrs and very sensitive to the taste of meat - I also find some veggie alternatives a bit too realistic for my liking!

I do like most quorn products - but have never tried the lamb grills

    thanks:D

....they are more like a Quorn burger consistency tiredy, and I don't find them off-putting at all. As for tasting like lamb.. I'm sorry, I have no idea what lamb tastes like. If it tastes anything like Quorn lamb style grills though, it's delicious :)

Can anyone help. I'd love to be able to find a sugar free jelly that is vegetarian (crystals, not the ready made pots).

Does anyone know if there is such a thing and where I might find it.

    Very many thanks in advance
  • thanks for the tip on the german thing ajax. Very scary stuff! Still it would be a dull world if people were all the same wouldn't it!

lol BB, after I typed that comment about the chewstick I thought about editing it and taking it out as it might have read wrong. I'm glad you found it funny.

Happy birthday to Victory! It sounds like your hubby wants to take for a nice treat style meal. I'm sure you will look fab in your dress - you've come a very long way and we are all so chuffed for you. Once again, what a lovely poem from petrichor!

Interesting debate going on about points and syn calculations. Perhaps I'm a bit dull as I do what SW tells me to do. Bit worried about the macaroni cheese debacle though as I eat enormous quantities of tinned spaghetti on green days because it's free. I hope SW don't catch on and give it a syn value!

... oh well done :T you, excellent info. I went on this site yesterday after this info and didn't manage to find it. To be honest, the Hearty Italian 6" baguette thing I had was better than any roll could be, so well worth the extra half point. You can have a 12" loaf with a gazillion veggies and unlimited jalapeno peppers on for 7 WW points!! That's amazing. These peoplewill be getting a fair amount of my money in the forseeable.

... don't worry kpc, it's not the same thing. I know why what BB said would be a problem - folks were liquidising the mac/cheese and then using that as a sauce for something else i.e. you get every single calorie of the mac, but not of the belly-filling attributes of it. Your spaghetti would only be a problem if you blended it and then poured that thick tomato sauce over something else. I only did what SW told me too - far to many things to account for to try to do it yourself.

.... yep! Sachets of sugar-free, veggie-friendly jelly are sold at Tesco. They are made by (IIRC) Green's and have Looney Tunes characters on the front of the sachets. The sachets come in pairs and can be seperated as they are perforated.
