The fab news for the day is that one of my yoga friends is doing a 100 mile sponsered cycle to help to raise money for my trike.
    I am so humbled.
Have a great week everyone & take care.

Personally, I think they are a bit of an odd colour and because they are utility they only reach just above my knees but there is no accounting for men's taste is there? And whats with the german !!!!!! references?!

... hope you had fun kpc. Sounds like it.

The Deutsche Leute have a bit of a penchant for some of (what most people would think as) the more unsavoury "bodily waste" !!!!!!. Goes along the same lines as grannynise's friend's hypnotherapist. Well, you did bring it up :)

soooooooooooooooo excited about my new dress! If i can get into it I may even get brave enough to post a picture. It's especially exciting as it's very difficult to get forties stuff to fit me - they were TINY back then. Must have been the rationing diet![/quote]

Glad you had a great weekend: sounds a lot of fun. Getting into the dress is going to be a great motivator. You'll have to hang it next to the fridge :D

    Hi all :hello:

Well I've had a good weekend socially, but terrible as far as eating is concerned - two days of buffet food with very little in the way of anything healthy to choose from, and I drank far too much red wine yesterday. :o

Day One tomorrow, and hopefully I can at least maintain this week. I'm off to Italy next Sunday for 9 nine days and planning to do plenty of walking and to try to eat sensibly, but I'm not going to be a diet bore.

Efrieze and Dellybelly both very kindly offered to take over doing the chart while I'm on holiday, so thank you both. I'm going to accept Delly's offer this time, so please be kind to her! :D

    Have a good week everyone!

. I just want to know why, and which one is right. .

Ok - here goes and last word on this from me too.

Technically speaking - the points calculator is correct. The "debate" only started because I couldn't believe someone would actually go to the trouble of pointing a "free" food.

Why? The reason you have the difference between the book and the calculator is because food manufacturers are constantly changing their formulations for their products. The eat wisely book is considered to be "guidelines" - for hard and fast rules on the points of a certain item of food you should use your points calculator as the manufacturer's nutritional information is more accurate that WW "generic" information.

I hope this answers your questions ajax. I thought I had explained this in an earlier post, but obviously not.

By the way - Tesco Value plum tomatoes are only 1 point per can.:rotfl:

.....ah ok then, in that case it sounds like you'll be fine. As long as you have a router you can get net access, and can download browsing software ("Internet Channel") from the Wii Shop, although browsing is pretty much all you can do. The Internet Channel was free when I got mine but I have a feeling it costs a little now, maybe a fiver or something?

Technically speaking - the points calculator is correct. The "debate" only started because I couldn't believe someone would actually go to the trouble of pointing a "free" food.
...I think it's basic common sense to point up anything in a tin to be honest. To make canned food you need preservatives and/or ample salt (as I understand) and this junk may add points:confused:. As a case in point, leaf spinach is free, tinned spinach isn't.
for hard and fast rules on the points of a certain item of food you should use your points calculator as the manufacturer's nutritional information is more accurate that WW "generic" information.
...so the calculator will always be more accurate than the Eat Wisely book? Going on this, a value of 1.5 points applies?
By the way - Tesco Value plum tomatoes are only 1 point per can.:rotfl:
.. that's cos they are 'orrible :rotfl:, you should receive points credits for being brave enough to eat the stuff. See also Branston Baked Beans. And you mentioned the 'T' word :)
