    Hi all

I tried to post earlier but lost it:mad:

I weighed earlier and have lost another 3lbs:j I was so worried that bad day was going to ruin my week:o

hot.chick I worked the hobnobs out at 4 points each:eek: shame really cause they're lush.

In one of my ww recipe books there is a recipe for oaty crumbles that are 1.5 points each.

They are smaller and not quite the same but a lot less points.

Let me know if you want the recipe.

  • I'm back from the war!!!!!!

had a totally brill time at Elsecar, loads of fun people and great stuff happening. And I was telling the truth about the seamed stockings ajax. My OH is very fond of them too, and I suspect not just because they are actual 1940s issue CC41! Personally, I think they are a bit of an odd colour and because they are utility they only reach just above my knees but there is no accounting for men's taste is there? And whats with the german !!!!!! references?! The weather stayed fine for us and there was a cafe selling jacket spuds so yay for SW green days. Did a couple of show and tells talking to peeps about SOE and got a bit teary when all the guys got together and had a minutes silence with a lone piper for all current and past combatants in wars. V emotional, especially when standing next to a Normandy veteran!

Ate a bit of rubbish but not too much as I now have an added incentive to lose some weight because I have splurged a RUINOUS amount of money on the most delicious 1940s evening dress - the zip is about 3 inches off fastening. Think I can get into it by the next dance in October? I'm never going to get into the french knickers that I bought but that's a whole other story. 1940s underpinnings are v complicated, it's much easier in the medieval period where you just have a linen chemise.

lol at bb's oh having a tummy tickle. Do you have to throw him a chewstick if he starts humping your leg? V impressed at katyk's indestructible pedometer. Welcome to 123money and clutterbunny, I'm sure you'll find the help and support you need on here, as well as lots of laughs.

soooooooooooooooo excited about my new dress! If i can get into it I may even get brave enough to post a picture. It's especially exciting as it's very difficult to get forties stuff to fit me - they were TINY back then. Must have been the rationing diet!

    Oaty crumbles

From weight watchers time to eat cookbook

    Makes 16 small biscuits

    75g plain flour
    75g demerara sugar
    75g porridge oats
    0.5 tsp nutmeg
    75g marg
    1 tbsp clear honey

    Gas 4 180 oven

mix flour, sugar, oats and nutmeg ( if you want these to taste like Twinks hobnobs i would omit the nutmeg )

    Melt marg and honey

    Pour over dry ingredients

    Mix well

Place 16 spoonfuls of the mixture onto prepared baking trays

Bake 15 mins until golden brown

Allow to cool on trays for 5 mins then transfer to wire rack.

Will keep in an airtight container for 1 week ( if they last that long:D )

    Can be frozen.

the book of WW recipes the time to eat says there are 0 points per tin of toms:rolleyes:

I know. If only there was consistency between the book and the calculations.

We use subway for the deal of the day, I like the way that you can customize your own sandwich, I have masses of salad on brown with no sauces, cheeses and just plain turkey, cuts all the wasted calories (on the sauces and cheese etc) and still tastes fresh and great:D

.......great, thanks victory. As a seasoned Subway vet, what's the distinction between the "deli style" sandwiches and ... umm.. anything else? http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=6179194&postcount=1099

WW eating out supplement book lists a Subway Veggie Delite sandwich as 3 points, which is great value, but stipulates deli style. (The calculator works the points out to be 3.5  but let's not go there !!!!!!)
