I just wanted to use my 1000th MSE post to say thanks to everyone here on the WL 14 (and since WL 11) thread. Whether it has been through hints, tips, pick-me-ups, smiles or even constructive disagreement , every single one of you good people has had a positive effect on me, and the efforts I'm making.
All of us are here in the same boat, and we're the happiest shipmates on MSE. That's because we're all rowing in the same direction, and understand the need for "same course, full speed ahead". We shall reach our chosen destination.
Thank you all once again. You are all0 -
Eating wise seems came off the wagon at rugby purely for the baguettes, but otherwise all ok. I stayed on the diet coke throughout.
.... rugby without beer seems a strange concept Suggs. Well done. Now back to watch Ajax and Delly slug in out in the tomato ding dong!! My moneys on Delly

After a very busy weekend, if I see another pair of trousers that want taking up I won't be responsible for my actions:mad: ...
..Nice to see that it was busy on here too, haven't quite managed to catch up on all the posts, but want to say I've enjoyed the discussion about points value/free food etc. Anyone that have read some of my posts of old, know that I was annoyed aout the anomolies of WW, they defy logicand noone would/could give me a logical explanation. The same with SW - how can there be free food??? If it's got calories then in my mind it hs to be counted hence my going on calorie count alone. So, as I don't agree with either WW or SW in these matters, I'm quite content to sit on the fence, and watch this unfold between delly and ajax, they're squaring up quite nicely

...Thanks as well for those tips about semi freezing/thawing yoghurts, I'm going to give it a try with the low fat fromage frais as ice-cream is the thing of the moment with me so every little helps...
...For anyone interested Quorn lamb style grills are on BOGOF at Morrisons at the moment, so I've bought a few and put them in the freezer :j ...
...to the lovely new peeps:-
New_123money I agree with what has been said previously, please eat more than one meal a day especially as it's so soon after having your baby. Your health is vital to both you and your baby, and you can find plenty of meals that will fit nicely into a calorie counted plan...
...and clutterbunny You seem to have the exercise stuff well in hand, I use a ministepper and find it to be very helpful. I'm also using a pedometer (which reminds me:rotfl: I haven't put it on yet today:rotfl: ...
...Be back later peeps and to catch up with the rest of you..
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Morning all,
Thanks for all the help last week I finally cheered up on sunday (think I just needed lots of sleep...and bourbon biccies). Decided that it was my presentation which was getting me down so have woken up with a new work ethic and a smile and resolved to just write what I can and work from there...as a consequence I got an early train and bought my lunch and brekkie en-route...having consumed it backwards (sandwich for brekkie...have my melon salad for lunch) then looked it up on the syns online....17syns! for a prawn sandwich....ah well...the book says deduct 6 for wholemeal bread so I still have 4 syns....must be in a better mood as am still laughing about it!!
anyway...thats enough rambling about my morning so far....
Ajax...There is no description on the website but going from the nutritional info I think the deli style subway involves a roll rather that the baguette bread thing they normally use (never knew there was this choice)....you can find all the nutritional info here though (or somewhere around this site if I haven't linked it properly....
http://www.subway.co.uk/menu_nutrition_info.asp
so you could at least point up what you want.
cheery-pip....I feel the need for a cuppa0 -
Hi all. Back from a week's holiday and can report a half lb weight gain - so the swimming and walking certainly did help to counteract the chips and icecreams at lunchtime!
Good to be back home though and yesterday went out and bought lots of veg as we weren't eating enough of it last weekworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Well done aussie, that's a great loss. A word of advice with the DVDs... get a couple of them out of the box, and then consider whether to carry on and put them into the machine. One step at a time, you don't wanna overdo it too early
I have already given up on the idea for today and I didn't even get the dvd out!!
I ache all over from last week so think I deserve a rest :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Am going to take MIL shopping instead - retail therapy, it's the only way forward. :rotfl:I can only please one person per day.Today is not your day.Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.0 -
Hi Guys, I'm just back from a week in Devon being spoilt by my dad and step-mum with lovely cream teas, so now I am carrying excess baby and holiday weight. Think I've put on couple of lb. I am back to WW on Wednesday for my first official weigh in and will then just take it from there.
123money, it's best to have post natal check before starting any type of diet, also are you breastfeeding, if so you will need to add extra calories in for this, definitely speak to a health professional before doing any extreme form of dieting. Speaking from experience with a new baby in tow it is hard to eat when baby takes up majority of your time, but it is essential to eat three meals and have plenty to drink. Good luckWW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -

... :rotfl:this is absolutely not WW vs SW though. I found SW to be far more anomalous than WW when it came to calculating points using the official machinery given. In its defence though, SW takes a hundred more things into account than WW does, so anomalies and misunderstandings are far more likely to crop up. SW really is just too clever. WW is much easier and user-friendly in my opinion, but it falls on its face over this.0 -

Thanks .. can I ask though ... are they very authentic (i.e. meaty) tasting? I've been veggie for 22yrs and very sensitive to the taste of meat - I also find some veggie alternatives a bit too realistic for my liking!
I do like most quorn products - but have never tried the lamb grills
thanks:D0
