Skint_Catt wrote: »Anyone got any ideas for a SW 'free' packed lunch? Want to avoid bread if poss, but can't find a 'free' mayo that I like so that stops potato salad etc.
No microwave at work and no decent thermos at home (don't want to buy one at the mo)
Getting pretty sick of salads/jacket pots from the shop across the road!
I find cottage cheese a good alternative to mayo with potato salad. I only like the cottage cheese with pineapple but you can also get plain or an onion-y one.
I do struggle with my lunch box as am low on inspiration early in the morning and not organized enough yet to do it the night before.
Couscous salad is also quite easy to do quickly.0 -

Bit of a long link but it appears to have a lot of recipies on it...not sure how many of them will translate into a cold lunchbox though or how many are free...so actually...not the most helpful unless you have a lot of time to trawl!!0 -

Hmm 16 weeks to Yule/Christmas
depressing thought:eek: so expensive:eek:
I had a turkey sub of the day, asked him (I never have the sauces) if there were any diet friendly ones and he just babbled away-translation he did not know, someone in the queue said maybe the ranch or the mayo, anyone know which is low fat, low calorie and sugar free?
Well done on your weight loss the dragon :T
I weighed today at boots and weigh the same so happy with that, maybe just maybe will slip in a few quality street during today;)0 -
I think the lowest sandwich sauce is the honey mustard one at 30 cals. (I assume the portion size in the table is actually what they use)

Just managed to catch up, again!
Lots to mention but ...
...first a quick hello to jojilufc and welcome back. Don't worry about the 6lb gain, you've had a rough time but done the right thing in coming back here, that's the hardest part, just take it a day at a time and you'll soon get back into the swing of things:T ...
...ditto annie021063 and I'm impressed with the swimming challenge, that should help the weight loss no end:T ...
...curveygirl sorry to hear of the 1lb gain; a bit of determination this week wil soon shift it and a bit more by next week :j...
...Well done to all of you that have had imppressive losses starlight, The Dragon, hollyh :j :j :j ...
...thanks Bbelle re the millionaires slice :T I too know them as caramel squares. Years ago, I used to make my own, and MrP and I would scoff the whole lot, the mere thought of that now makes me feel quite sick...
...ajax I was interested to read that you didn't know what lamb tasted like, have you been veggie all of your life? I also agree with what you said about feeling hungrier after drinking alcohol, when I drank I was always hungry the following morning but now it's at least lunchtime before I feel that I need anything and mostly it's quite a bit later on in the day, so it has certainly helped me to lose my weight this time - lost lbs and saves £s...
...tiredycustard I thought that the seasoning of rosemary and mint on the Quorn lamb grills overtook any lamb taste, but I like lamb anyway so perhaps I'm not a sensitive to it as you would be. When I used mine I made them into Lamb and Butterbean Summer Stew a recipe that I adapted myself and found to be very nice, I'll be doing it again now I've got some more of the grills. I'm quite new to to the stuff, and at the moment, only use it if I've put it in something such as a sauce...
...beanie I was so pleased to read that your friend hadn't forgotten about your trike, and for her to do a sponsored cycle ride for you is heartwarming. I hope you get one soon :j...
...I don't know if it's because DD has gone away until the end of the week, but the good feeling passed as expectedisn't it a bummer? So thanks for making me laugh with some of your posts - (dog humping leg etc.:rotfl: :rotfl: such naughty peeps at times
)...
...katiePC I look forward to seeing you in that 40s dress :T they sound like great weekends, lucky you...
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
