Good luck all you slimmers and remember if you always do what you've alwayds done then you'l always get what you've always got.
vicky
I think it means that if you don't change anything you will not get anything different to what you have always had....
To put it in terms of myself and this thread...
If I don't change anything and If I carry on what I have been doing for the last ten years I shall forever remain big fat and shy...but if I change something and start walking up the stairs a few more times and do a few more star jumps and keep reading this thread then I will be a super bouncing slim me

Hmmm, not sure about cottage cheese yet, but might buy some tonight at Asda and try it again. OH will probably eat it if I don't!

...ajax I was interested to read that you didn't know what lamb tasted like, have you been veggie all of your life? I also agree with what you said about feeling hungrier after drinking alcohol, when I drank I was always hungry the following morning but now it's at least lunchtime before I feel that I need anything and mostly it's quite a bit later on in the day, so it has certainly helped me to lose my weight this time - lost lbs and saves £s
... I agree that it would be easier to lose weight and spend money without a tipple, but for me it provides too much quality of life to do without. Life would be cheaper and easier without alcohol and cars, but I wouldn't like to have to do without either.
Not been a veggie all my life, just the last 18 years. 18 years is long enough to forget when you're as dumb as meThe only taste I vaguely remember is doner kebab, and that's not really typical of other lamb is it?

Fell right off the wagon this afternoon. Won't say what I've eaten ... but it's probably about 2 days worth of calories in 1 afternoon!
I have come on here to confess my sins (and get my 20 lashings ..... smilie for that anyone .... petrichor?)
I'm just a bit low. Work is not good and I still cant shake this relentless tiredness. Humphhh:(
Sorry guys ... don't want to be a misery guts!
Now heres my biggest challenge ... not completely quitting. I've done so well this last week (even though the results dont quite match the effort put in). Usually - when I 'lapse' thats the end of my regime and I drift back into old habits. I really wan't to prove to myself that I can just pick back up and get on with it....
If only I wasnt so f**** b**** bleep bleep TIRED!!!:mad:0 -
When I'm tired I always want extra food.
Just say that you will start again tomorrow and that just one day isn't bad since you've been good for 6/7ths of the week!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

.......come on tiredy old shoe, don't be a quitter. A bad day can be followed by a few good ones and still nett you a loss, especially on SW greens. Now don't let anyone else here know this, this is just between me and you, but I once used a best guesstimate of 280 syns in a night when on a night out horse racing. I woke up with a hangover the next day, had 10 SW green days of 5 syns per day max, and though I put on 1lb for the weigh in of my silly night, I lost 3lb the week after. You can do it, don't write it off. It's up to you now - are you a weight loser or are you just someone who talks about wanting to, hoping that will be enough?
Stop the wagon people, tiredy wants to get back on... I think.

(whispers) okay ... don't think anyone else heard :rotfl:ajaxgeezer wrote: ». It's up to you now - are you a weight loser or are you just someone who talks about wanting to, hoping that will be enough?
Well - in the past - def. a 'talker' but just recently I've taken it very seriously. See - it's not just about the weight ... I genuinely want to improve my overall health and hopefully be less tired! I guess, in the past, If I fell off the wagon I'd just go off and carry on munching my merry way through choccy bars thinking 'well I've blown it now'. Whereas, now I'm taking a more mature (I think) approach to it all by accepting my 'blip' and moving on. I do feel better already (or is that the coffee talking! )
