I am aiming for a certain weight and don't like the idea that my scales could be weighing me 5lbs more than most of the other scales I have been near in the last 8 months. What would you guys do in this situation?

Chuck the scales and get new ones. Or being totally MSE - try new batteries first
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

weigh yourself same clothes same time same scales same day of each week and you will get an accurate reading, I do every week at boots...

Yes thanks everyone lovely meal, only had a few chocs, that is it, been very good but also had 2 slices of white bread toast (oh the shame:rotfl: :rotfl: ) it was WW wholemeal (not so great toasted) or white so opted for the very bad unnecesary white and loved it, cut it inot 4 squares, makes it seem as if it lasts longer and used anchor light (never have butter or marg, oh the trauma of twice being so very bad:rotfl: ) what will happen to me now?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've started being naughty. I used to have such restraint and only weight myself once a week on a tuesday morning but recently i have been weighing myself in the week too. I know it's bad but I have a bee in my bonnet about my scales not being accurate (and somehow weighing myself again and again makes me feel better). Anyway, I am hopeful for a good result tomorrow after an average few weeks. Also, whilst I know that my weight CHANGE is the most important thing - I am aiming for a certain weight and don't like the idea that my scales could be weighing me 5lbs more than most of the other scales I have been near in the last 8 months. What would you guys do in this situation?

Youre spot on... weight change IS the most important thing. Scales are the tools of the devil.

I have to leave mine at my parents and I weigh myself once a week, with the scales on the exact same spot on the floor. Honestly, you'll drive yourself nuts if you pop on all the time.

If it was me, Id weigh myself on what ever is your weigh day and content yourself that THAT is your weight and keep off the damn things til next week ;)

WW bread is rubbish for toasting. Ive changed now to Kingsmill Crustless Bread. Its half a point per slice same as WW and it toasts perfectly :)

however SW have decided that tinned soup cannot be free food, only home made soup is free. I presume that's because people have abused soup - but how much soup can one person eat in a sitting? :rotfl:

    LL

......possibly because homemade soup has no 'plastic' rubbish in it LL? Homemade soup ingredients are free, whereas flavourings, modified cornflour, preservatives etc etc may not be.

No time to read or reply properly but just a quick hello and to report 2 bad days for walking. Forgot pedometer yesterday and took it off half way through Sunday but am only estimating 6000 and 7000 respectively. Couldn't walk to work yesterday as had to do overtime - work in hotel and the Christmas Party Tickets went on sale so had a rush on! Back on today though as back to normal hours. Will aim for 15000 to try to make up!
