They used to have a couple of 0800 numbers but I think they have stopped them now so this looks like the cheapest ....

The 03332 number is not a premium number so you should be OK with that one.

I thought I'd share my success of cancelling Sky and holding out for a good deal :-

In Summary I've gone from £51.17 to £13.63 a month for Variety, Line Rent & Broadband.

    Was Now
    Line Rent 16.40 6.40
    B/Band 7.50 0.00
    Variety 27.27 11.40
    £50 cred -4.17
    Total 51.17 13.63

It started with cancelling tv, and suggesting I'd shop around for B/Band & Line rent - they offered free B/Band for 12 months if I commit to 12 months contract and I could keep sky+ recording facility and free channels.

After 3 weeks they then called me about the TV, and offered me that back for something like £8 a month, 60% off or something, at which point I said they'd also offered £50 bill credit in a previous email.

Somewhere I think either the operator or the system made some mistakes, as they have effectively called me up and paid me to take Variety pack back for 12 months.

I guess it protects them against me shopping around, but saves me the hassle of losing Nick Jr and the kids giving me grief about it.

    I'm chuffed.
  • Asked they what they would offer to stop me going to TalkTalk: Got a reduction of £23 a month for 12 months.

Just got off the phone with Sky - £20/month reduction for 12 months without removing any packages. This is what call a good start !
  • so tomorrow is cut off date for sky TV package, the best offers they can give me is either 35% off or 50% off for 10 months both on 12 month new contracts which given i was already on a 12 month 50% discount is not great. but i don't want to be without very long after cut off. Do they take long after cut off to offer the 60%?

My package goes off in 9 days. So far, I have been offered 35% when I first cancelled (Family, Sports & HD), no contract. Then I went online to check my bill the following day and had the 50% notification then last week I had three missed calls from Sky with a 4th phone call meaning I could actually speak to them. The offer (apparently their final offer) was 50% off again with a £50 credit onto the bill which again, is a rolling contract.

Well Done!! I wish Sky were just as responsive to me with this, i wonder why they aren't with me. does anyone think if i give notice of cancellation on my BB & Talk this may entice them in giving me the 60% off and some credit?

When I cancelled with Live chat this morning I was told that I don't need to cancel phone and broadband with them just sign up with your new supplier and they will deal with the cancellation - so I don't think that threat holds much weight anymore. I was given one, not very enticing, offer to stay and when I politely declined my TV cancellation was put through. I have to say the person I live chatted to was very polite, helpful and friendly. No pressure, no hassle. They did ask to phone me but I was at work so they carried on with Live chat.

Haven't had any offers since cancelling but I don't mind as I'll sign up to Plusnets current offer for phone and BB and use Netflix or Prime if I feel Freesat doesn't keep us satisfied.
