    Thank you hazyjo,
I'm hoping so too - I'll update if I get any better offers.

It's worth reminding at present that Sky (& ITV) have lost the live rights to the Champions League next season (2015/16), which will be exclusive to BT Sport for the next 3 seasons.

Sky have nevertheless increased the cost of their Sky Sports packages from 1st June 2015.

BT Sport are due to announce their plans for coverage of the competition tomorrow.

ITV will have highlights on Wednesday night of every matchweek.

Sky have been playing down the significance (see Guardian article) of Champions League coverage to Sky Sports viewers, but the loss of such a prestigious tournament is surely a point which significantly affects the value of a Sky Sports subscription to some subscribers?

Its estimated to be most. 56% of Sky subscribers take Sky Sports. Its a blow to be sure.

My twelve month contract finishes today, just talked to Sky retentions keeping Family Bundle + Sports Pack and HD Pack.

Offered two packages if agreeing to further twelve month contract, 50% for six months then full amount for remainder or 35% for ten months and full for remaining two months, the second works out cheaper reduced from £66.75 to £45.22 a month so happy with that, told to phone up again just before the ten months finishes and see what they can do for me again.

I cancelled around ten days ago and rang back today after getting a 50% off offer on the Sky.com member's area. In the end I got 60% off for 12 months with very little haggling.

Well it will be very interesting to see what happens with all these 10 month discounts but tied in for 12 months. As you're stuck for another two months anyway I can't see them offering much, if anything.

Sounds like a good ploy by Sky to me.

If I cancel Sky and wait for an offer will I lose all the recorded programmes on my Sky box? Or do they remain for the 30 days cancellation period?

They remain forever on your box until deleted.

During the cancellation period they will still be accessible and you can watch them. After your subscription is switched off they are still there but you cannot watch them.
