  • Ive just had the same 60% off any bundle and £100 credit offered to me. I cancelled a month ago. I would still guess they would charge me the multiroom and HD at £11.50 for each or whatever it costs these days?

Anyone manage to get the 60% off and the £100 credit and also half price HD & multiroom or similar deal?

I just called up and told sky that I thought I was paying too much for my package and being a customer for approximately 13 years I thought this would get me a good offer. Well I was offered £7.50 per month which after the pay hike would still be about £82 for the family bundle with movies, phone and multiscreen. I think I'm going to have to go ahead with cancelling and look at my options.

Well I am very happy to report that I called back and managed to make a much better saving of the following:

35% off TV package - for 8 months
50% off multi room - for 10 months
    £5ish off phone - for 10 months

    Very happy girl :-)
  • My bill was due to increase to 98 sterlings from 78, i cancelled then recieved a 35% off deal dropping my bill to 73.

could have gotten more but satisfied.

...but if you have signed up for a further 12 months ,why would they give you a further TV discount after 6 months ???:D
  • We have the full package and multi room. Rang Sky 2 weeks ago and haggled the price down to £55 for 10 months. About a week later we received a confirmation letter detailing the new "contract". They were going to apply the rise in June even though we had agreed a fixed price. Phoned them to enquire. Explained I was not happy and that I wanted to cancel. I was told I couldn't because I was in contract. I said I could because it was inside the cooling off period and besides they had changed the details of the contract. They could not waive the increase so eventually they agreed to cancel my contract so I was now FREE of Sky.

Yesterday I had a phone call from Sky Retention. Bottom line was what would they have to do to keep me. I replied with get my present package under £50 for 10 months and they did! A £38 per month reduction made up from a £50 credit to my account and then monthlies of £54.

I was also advised to phone them back next March to renegotiate again!!!

    Thank you MSE!
  • After reading your article I called Sky on Thursday last week, spoke with Customer Service who were helpful but could only offer me a saving of £17 per month (I currently pay £95 for TV, Broadband and Phone). I took your advice, told them I was considering leaving and would call back.

On Saturday I called again, I was put through to retentions and informed them I was leaving, after discussing with me the reasons why (THE COST), I was asked if I was willing to stay if they reduced my monthly bill by £35 per month for 10 months :T the increase Sky is applying soon WILL NOT be passed onto me and I could re-negotiated after that period. :j

Thank you Martin, :money:that's another huge saving I've negotiated after following your advice.
  • Please can you give the right phone number at Sky..they have so many
  • Just negotiated £20 per month discount for 10 months with option to renegotiate after the 10 months. I was also offered a free engineer visit to come and look at an intermittent fault when I had previously been quoted £60. Thanks MSE
