*creeps in and gives a little wave* :hello: err , anyone remember me?
sorry I dropped off the NSD planet in feb (btw I think I did reach my target that month). Had a lot going on including work stuff, but also trainings for, and running my first half marathon in March
Anyway, if there's room I'd quite like to have a cuppa with you all, if that's ok, plus the may pole is up which only means one thing AND 1st May was World Pole Dance Day....I'm honestly not kidding
So, can I come back please?
Ps best line from Father Ted...small....far away :rotfl:
Oh kerri gt lovely to see you back! :j
You sound like you've been very busy (as usual).Yes,as you say, quite a big change in circumstances.I hope that all the work changes are not proving too stressful for you.
World Pole Dance Day was on the 1st,blimey,I wasn't aware of that...
Well done on the half marathon btw.
As you can see,May is Eurovision, and already Hubert is in a right tizzy about getting all the sparkly sequins sewn onto his frock,Swedish Chef is cross eyed trying to sort out a menu, and Igor (who will be performing a duet with Cheffie) has developed a nervous twitch.
Not much has changed then,so.0 -
Thanks for the warm welcome back guys. It has been busy, been doing a lot in the garden too but nearly finished and hoping we get the weather to enjoy it this year. Got some beans growing too, and started some toms off.
I double checked, i think it was actually UK pole dance day, not world...but what's a few counties between friends? Lol.
Did the 1/2 m in under 2hrs 20mins, so for a first attempt I was pleased with that.
Work changes have been somewhat stressful, but just have to get on with them and look for positives. Nothing I can do to change them.
Oh, and I've been back baking too...cream buns...yummy!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hubert STAND STILL! (humph I still don't understand why I have to sew the sequins in your costume whilst you are wearing it :rotfl:)
Oh and flinging NSDs 1 and 2 into the Cauldron! (which also means 2 in a row)
Must use my stash up!0 -

kerri gt cream buns you say!
I do hope that you'll pop round tomorrow for the Maypole shindig and feel free to take a few buns along with you.
Knit Witch you know what Hubert's like.Once he's wearing his favourite outfit,he never, ever wants to take it off.Silly boy.0 -
Sorry Nargle, most remiss of me.I missed you out of the update.
Well done on bagging #1. :j0 -
As thought today was a spendy day for me - but got my weeks shopping in as well with a £4 off coupon so I should have a couple of NSD ahead
Now Maypole dancing - regrettably there is photographic evidence of me dancing round one of those things in a white crimpoline dress (I'm coming out in hives at the thought).
The village I grew up in had a maypole that is 86 feet high and the local school thought it acceptable for all Barwick school kids to dance round one. Not the 86 foot high one - but not unlike the pic in post 37...
I'm not sure if it was character building or just a thing we did...
OH is watching the snooker, spaniel is lying on my feet and I'm waiting for onepoll to give me some more surveys.
What an exciting life I lead :rotfl:
EM xxYou can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
PlatoMake £2018 in 2018 no. 37 - total = £1626.25/£2018 :j

I'd best get baking now, I have a new respect for bakers, tues 10pm I was waiting for the second rise (my buns you filthy lot!) and 7am Wed I'm whipping cream for them. I have however now cracked the secret of HM Belgian buns. Boot camp is on a break atm but it will need to start up again soon at this rate.

*sighs* an 86' tall pole, if only we had ones like that at our studio,...actually I'd Prob get vertigo and fall off.
I also remember may pole dancing at primary school, we used to do a performance at our summer fete. Still remember being told one year we didn't need to dress up for it, so I told my mum and she let me wear my jeans. All the other girls had dresses on and I remember my mum thinking I'd told her porkies so I could wear my jeans and being really cross with me.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Greetings all! Thanks for the welcomes and the Mrs Doyle references. Love that woman. I claim a no spend day today! Yay. I have also been beavering away on eBay and had some sales and listed loads. So it's all £££ on the right direction. Normally by this time of the month I am only a few hundred quid away from my overdraft limit. I get paid mid month. This month, I am only just hitting red now. Wehay. Here's to another spend free day tomorrow!Total debt at 18.9.17 £1950
Debts down £12,700 high in Feb 2015, £10,700 April 15, £8830 May 15, £6776 June 15 , £5857 July 15 £6970 1.3.16

Good morning eager nsders! :hello:
It's a lovely day for our Maypole Pole Dance Display Garden Party,if you ignore the fact that it's raining.
kerri hasn't had a wink of sleep,as she's been slaving over a hot oven, waiting for that second rise...
Sure you'll be alright to help with choreography later kerri?Go on now,go and have a nap,I'll watch the buns.
Meanwhile Hubert is having a mini breakdown. He's spent all night in curlers that took 2 hours to put in,and is sobbing that the rain will ruin it all.His frock looks great (thanks Knit Witch),but he's in a right tizzy as he also has 4 left hooves, and can't dance for toffee.Typically he doesn't want to let the side down.
Swedish Chef and Igor have been in discussion with local wide boy Bert Scroggins to shoot the video for "# My Lovely Horse #" ,a discussion which has involved copious pints of Ye Olde Fartinge Bishope,so we can't expect too much from them today.0
